[Ram cosplay & Rem cosplay] Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, A Dreamy Duo of Demon and Angel

This photoshoot of Ram and Rem with my partner adopted a theme clashing darkness and purity—demon versus angel. I paid close attention to the costume details: Ram's outfit features layered crimson and black, where the purplish-red floral decoration at the chest and black straps create a striking visual impact, which paired with black stockings and heavy black knee-high boots conveys a bold yet playfully dangerous vibe; Rem's outfit features a soft transition of light blue and white, with tiered ruffled frills across the skirt, paired with white stockings and white shoes to look pure and well-behaved. For the background, we deliberately chose pure white branches, sheer drapery, and a reflective mirrored floor, using high-key soft-light photography to give the entire scene a misty, dreamy texture. Especially in the shot sitting on the mirrored floor, their Black and white stockings complement each other, with the calf lines elongated beautifully; paired with the voluminous skirts, the visual focus settles nicely on the legs and waist.

During shooting, we designed several intimate interactive poses, such as holding hands while gazing at each other, Rem leaning gently on Ram's shoulder, and reaching out together as if inviting viewers into their world. To stay faithful to their character traits, Ram's gaze needed a touch of haughtiness and aloofness, whereas Rem's was gentle and obedient. The key focus of posing direction was to accentuate the fluffy silhouette of the skirts and the texture of the stockings, which the photographer captured attentively. Costume preparations took significant effort, especially the black and white wings, which, while atmospheric, added to the physical exertion. In post-processing, highlights were softened to preserve skin translucency and enhance the ethereal mood of the environment. The overall tone is consistent, preserving anime character traits while achieving visual balance in photographic artistry; as a Duo cosplay work, it achieved a high level of completion. From costume styling to set design and color grading, everything stayed close to the character settings. I hope this photo set conveys the wonderful dynamic between Ram and Rem—both sisters and deeply bonded companions. Every little collaboration and interaction during the shoot made it an enjoyable experience. Highlighting the Black and white stockings was a deliberate aesthetic choice, using high-sheen stocking textures and the skirt drape to present tasteful elegance. Material choices were also key: Ram's dark red dress used lustrous silk-like fabric that layered richly on the mirrored floor against the bright pink flowers on her chest, while Rem's dress used layers of sheer, lightweight tulle that flowed effortlessly, accented with white plush wristbands for a youthful charm. The hardest part was managing expressions and poses simultaneously—I had to maintain Ram's tsundere expression while interacting with my partner, requiring frequent repositioning. The photographer spent a lot of time finding the best angles and light. For the seated floor shot in particular, maintaining core control was essential to appear naturally relaxed despite the shift in center of gravity. Every pose was the result of dedication, and I hope everyone who loves this work can feel our sincerity.
