[Cyrene Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Dreamy Swing Convention Photo Showcase - Image 1

Putting on this Cyrene Cosplay outfit, the props in hand and the pink-to-white gradient skirt hem formed a sharp light-and-dark contrast against the rather dim expo hall backdrop. To faithfully recreate the character's aura, styling took significant time to fine-tune hair and eye colors, especially the halo overhead and floating luminous leaves, requiring alignment with venue lighting to find the optimal angle.

Shooting this swing Convention photo series was quite a test of stamina; because the swing was suspended relatively high, legs were naturally suspended in mid-air when sitting, perfectly showcasing the slender lines of White stockings paired with white strappy high heels. The skirt is massive with multiple inner and outer layers; sitting on the swing without holding it down would easily block the lighting. The photographer, Qianyang, was very patient, repeatedly adjusting the swing height and composition, incorporating the overhead steel frame structure with a wide-angle lens to add spatial tension while emphasizing the subject.

The most challenging part of this styling was post-processing. In raw photos, the hall lighting was cluttered with uneven reflections, and physical glowing wing props alone couldn't fully sustain that dreamy aesthetic. Post-editing primarily focused on enhancing luminous wing details, letting purple halos spread along the skirt layers while brightening overall cool-toned textures to suppress messy ambient lighting, ensuring that cool, divine visual presence better matched the canonical tone. The combination of White stockings and high heels was a key visual highlight, so handling leg lines required extra attention to light transitions, utilizing the downward drape on the swing to make the legs look remarkably slender.

Beyond physical exertion, teamwork with the photographer was vital during Convention photography. Decisions like body tilt angle on the swing and where the skirt hem should float needed clear prior communication. The assistants on-site were fantastic—holding lights and adjusting prop positions to freeze these action moments. Finding a relatively clean, structured background in a standard convention venue wasn't easy; we specifically sought out an exhibition corner to avoid foot traffic. The swing ropes reflected nicely under ceiling lights, echoing seamlessly with the glowing wings.

The outfit features intricate lace details that are difficult to show in low light, requiring localized fill-light to capture them piece by piece. The final result delivered both spatial depth and visual impact from visual effects, faithfully achieving my ideal vision for this character. This photoshoot gave me fresh ideas on composition and lighting for Convention photo projects. Hope everyone enjoys this work!
