[Venti Cosplay] First Encounter with Anemo Shades and Lyre Melodies

This set of guest photos comes from a Shanghai photoshoot booking session at a Selfie studio, marking my very first official cosplay shoot as a high school student. A lot of heart and effort went into the early makeup, styling, and prop preparation.

Today's character outfit centers around green, paired with a white ruffled shirt, white tights, and a brown leather corset belt, giving the overall color scheme a very refreshing feel. The wig is dark blue, braided into twin pigtails on both sides and decorated with a small green hat and white floral hair accessories. The framing locks along my cheeks contour my face nicely, while lake-blue contact lenses make my eyes pop.

We prepared two main props for this shoot. The first is a lyre with wood-grain texture and green accents that visually echo the greenery of the outfit; the second is a large bow featuring a geometric color block of yellow, blue, green, and white, with wing-like structures on the bow limbs that add dynamic energy and rich visual tension when held.

We chose a highly versatile Selfie studio as our location, allowing us to experience several distinct backdrops at once. For instance, next to a wooden swing wrapped in leafy vines, I tried holding the lyre with my profile turned. Combined with translucent butterfly effects and blue glow added by post-production staff, the frame carries a serene, ethereal, and dreamy vibe.

In a set featuring artificial flower clusters and a large green plushie, I experimented with a close-up top-down shot, incorporating pink roses and scattered blue light specks to present a gentle, dreamlike state.

Among this photo set, my personal favorite is the one where I sat on a brown vintage leather sofa. Curling my legs up in the frame allowed a natural display of the white tights and costume layers. With wooden grid windows in the background and very soft lighting, it conveys a cozy, everyday approachability that keeps the image clean without complex poses.

Finally, we captured a standing full-body shot in a pure white studio backdrop. Raising the green cape while slinging the large bow over one shoulder clearly showcases the costume's tailoring and fine details, offering a cool, powerful posture from this angle.

As a high school student doing a Venti cosplay for the first time, I was naturally a bit nervous and stiff before the camera lens, exploring poses and expressions as I went. However, the relatively private environment of a Selfie studio allowed me to review shots without pressure, slowly adjusting angles and expressions until finding natural poses that suited me.

Of course, many early styling details are worth recording: the diamond patch design on the white tights, the black bow on the chest, the metallic sapphire emblem at the collar, and the brown ankle boots—these subtle accents prevented the overall look from feeling plain. Tackling a complex outfit for the first time was a bit overwhelming, but the final outcome let me truly experience the joy of cosplay—it's far more than just putting on clothes, but a journey of discovering personality resonance before the lens.
