Today's Emilia styling featured several new experiments across both costume and wig. The silver-white wig underwent simple braiding and bang styling; to keep the overall look looking natural, I chose a long straight wig with a soft hair luster, pinning the crown braids on both sides and embellishing them with a white floral hair accessory and a small silver hairpin. The Elf ears prop was one of the core highlights of this styling with a decent fit, though navigating a convention floor meant constantly watching out to avoid bumping them loose. To prevent accidental detachment, I secured the back of the ears with skin wax and specialized adhesive, which admittedly added a bit of challenge to touch-up makeup later.

Regarding makeup, to capture that sheer yet fantastical aura of the character, I selected purple contact lenses and kept the eye makeup understated, using pink-toned blush to boost complexion vitality while opting for a dewy orange-red lip tint. Highlighter was applied to the tip of the nose and above the cheekbones to add dimensional definition, making it punchier under studio strobes.

The wardrobe theme this time revolved around purple-and-white color blocking. The collar features a black choker, with a gold-and-green pendant necklace suspended across the chest. The top adopts an off-the-shoulder design with ultra-wide cuffs trimmed with purple ruffles along the edges. The lower half features a purple cummerbund and a bow accented with gold sequins. The fabric carries subtle damask patterns and a gentle sheen; once worn, despite the rich layering, the attire doesn't feel overly heavy. To maintain fabric smoothness, I carefully steamed the ruffles and cuffs with a garment steamer before heading out to prevent a cluttered appearance before the camera.

The photoshoot was staged in a set featuring a blue backdrop and pale artificial foliage, casting a slightly cool-toned atmosphere that harmonized brilliantly with the costume's palette. The first front-facing pose with hands crossed was designed to showcase the cascading drape of the sleeves and the structural front of the outfit; the second side-leaning pose against a prop aimed to capture the shoulder and neck lines through an over-the-shoulder glance, while simultaneously revealing the lace and ruffles along the skirt hem. The lighting on set was exceptionally soft, with a gentle depth-of-field blur applied to render the background cleaner. During the shoot, I noticed that dropping my shoulders slightly and engaging my core helped carve out more flattering collarbone and shoulder contours on camera—a handy little tip summarized from practicing outdoor location shoots.

Portraying a character like Emilia relies heavily on a gentle, serene temperament. Because of this, my posing choreography was kept restrained, and my gaze required a softer focus than usual. On-site, plenty of photographers and fellow fans stopped by to chat, and everyone expressed great appreciation for the costume's intricate details. Though the entire journey required constant calibration of poses and fine details, bringing this character's state to life felt immensely rewarding. Leading up to this shoot, I thoroughly referenced official character art and anime screenshots, practicing varied smiles before the mirror. While tiring, seeing the finished frames made all the preparation completely worthwhile.
