In the Hanggang ruins of the industrial wasteland, this set of Yuezheng Ling Apocalyptic Singer shoot turned out even more photogenic than imagined. The moment I picked up the acoustic guitar, I was completely immersed in the wandering yet determined state of this character.

During the shoot, Teacher Bai Ling and I deliberately chose an overcast day. The diffuse reflection light without direct sunlight is perfect for this wasteland style, beautifully restoring the heavy feel of the red and black color scheme. The layering of the wig was styled to be somewhat messy; against the background of rusted iron frames and thick pipes, combined with the long red tassel scarf, it didn't feel out of place at all—instead, the visual focus became even more vibrant. For props, I brought a solid wood acoustic guitar, and the realistic sense of weight holding it in my hands was a huge help in controlling my movements.

For the needs of composition, sometimes I had to bend over and half-kneel on gravel and metal shavings to find angles, while also ensuring that the lines of the over-the-knee socks and skirt hem remained neat. Shooting with this Sony A7R5 plus 50mm F1.2 GM, the focus lock was exceptionally fast; even in the depths of the factory building where the lighting wasn't very even, it could separate the character out. Capturing close-up shots was highly critical—for instance, the moment of looking down to pluck the strings and closing my eyes, that inner loneliness and stubbornness of the character are often hidden within micro-expressions.

Standing in front of such massive industrial structures, one appears incredibly small, but because of this, the character is endowed with a sense of destiny, playing out a story in the wasteland. The cut of this outfit is quite sharp without too much clutter, which greatly accommodates movements like swinging the guitar pick and holding the guitar neck. I'm usually not good at writing very exquisite text, but this cosplay photoshoot truly expresses the temperament of this Apocalyptic Singer outfit.

In the final photos, there is a single shot of me sitting on an iron frame; the composition's center of gravity is very stable, and the lines of the stockings and boots form a downward-extending visual guide in the frame. An old industrial base like Hanggang is truly a fantastic shooting location; the industrial style naturally carries a heavy texture. The collaboration with Teacher Bai Ling this time was very smooth, balancing the wasteland aesthetics and musical elements beautifully, making the entire process focused and joyful.
