[The Shorekeeper cosplay] A Touch of Ice Blue in Wuthering Waves: Cross-Dimensional Ethereal Charm

These photos of The Shorekeeper cosplay were actually shot last weekend. Pre-production took quite a while—the tailoring of this headscarf and the white satin trim alone were revised multiple times. During the shoot, I happened to borrow a friend's studio featuring striped light beams. At first, I worried that the top light might wash out my makeup, but the output was surprisingly good, with the lighting bringing out the rich layering of the Blue hair style.

The overall color scheme for this look is a cool-toned combination of blue, white, and silver. To match this pristine, ethereal ambiance, I deliberately used dewy blue-and-pink eyeshadow paired with matching false eyelashes, giving my gaze an otherworldly look. For lipstick, I chose coral red; if the lip tone is too pale, it easily looks washed out under strong lights, so a hint of warmth nicely balances the face's cool tones.

The costume's details really put tailoring craftsmanship to the test. The cut-out design across the waist and abdomen, paired with sheer mesh paneling, had to prevent accidental exposure while fitting my figure flawlessly; I even sewed in hidden snap buttons to keep the sheer fabric completely flat and taut. The white cord wrapped around the arms and the silver armlets are key to enhancing overall airy lightness. During shooting, I asked the photographer to capture close-ups of the hands and these silver metallic pieces, hoping the final photos would showcase that delicate artisanal craftsmanship.

The pose with the largest movement during the shoot was that full-body shot lifting the skirt and raising a leg (which I particularly favored when picking the cover). The skirt consists of extensive multi-layered pearlescent blue tulle with structured silver piping; capturing the dynamic flutter of the skirt required controlling the center of gravity in my calves the instant the shutter clicked. I tried several angles repeatedly to keep my posture elongated while maintaining a serene facial expression—such movements genuinely test core strength and expression control.

There is also the kneeling pose with eyes closed and a hand reaching outward. In truth, the studio floor was very hard, and I had to align with that special overhead light beam. Having my eyes closed made spatial awareness quite challenging, but fortunately, the serene and leisurely feeling in the final photo came through spot-on, directly expressing the character's divine aura.

For post-processing, the photographer and I discussed it at length and decided against heavy filters or radical hue shifts, focusing primarily on cleaning up stray background light and preserving the shimmering highlights of the fabric textures. The white sheer tulle couldn't be smoothed too rigidly—it needed to retain a subtle holographic, iridescent sheen, which is the absolute soul of this cosplay costume. I'm very satisfied with this entire photo set; it faithfully recreates The Shorekeeper's otherworldly and solitary elegance in Wuthering Waves. Though the Cosplay photoshoot was demanding, it was completely worthwhile, and I hope everyone can feel the care poured into this Anime cosplay work.
