A lot of thought went into the preparation and shooting of this Yakumo Yukari outfit to restore the overall texture of the costume. The long golden hair was curled, and the braids on both sides along with the bangs, combined with the purple lace and red bows on the edge of the hat, perfectly framed my face and features. The costume itself is richly layered; besides the large area of the white outer robe, it also layers a black cross-collar, red straps, and various embroidery patterns. The Taiji design on the hem serves as a very interesting visual anchor in this Purple lace dress styling.

To make the overall look align more with the Eastern fantasy style of the original work, tassels and hollowed-out purple lace were intentionally added to the waist and cuffs. Paired with the black umbrella with red trim and eyes in hand, the visual color distribution is beautifully coordinated. The set layout for this shoot also perfectly fits the character's ambiance. Inside the studio, Neo-Chinese style wooden grid screens and antique display shelves were used as the background, with white skull props and purplish-grey dried flowers scattered across them. Combined with the pale purple light, shadows, and smoke generated on-site, it created a blend of mystery and a hint of Japanese gothic style.

The photographer, Ruoye, was very meticulous in controlling the composition and lighting, especially in balancing the purple ambient light and the character's skin tone. This kept the frame clean while highlighting the luster of the golden hair in the dark environment. During the shooting process, I tried several different poses, such as using the eye umbrella as a foreground obstruction or turning around sideways to showcase the translucent lace texture of the clothes. These angles beautifully displayed the fine details of the outfit.

As an practice in shaping such a classic character, I feel that this Cosplay photoshoot achieved the expected results in both restoration accuracy and photographic texture. From the early stages of character setting analysis and element extraction to the fine-tuning of costumes and makeup, and finally to the on-site communication and execution with the photographer, the experience accumulated at every step is highly precious. The feeling of transforming a two-dimensional fantasy character into a touchable, real image is perhaps the most attractive part of cosplay as a form of expression.
