Shooting this Ambience Synesthesia skin for Arknights Shu was a very fulfilling attempt. To pursue the clear and translucent feel of the 'Ice-Crackle Jade Glaze,' meticulous care was taken with the makeup and hair. The white hair, paired with a few strands of bright blue highlighted bangs, formed a very special contrast of warm and cool tones under the lens. The blue-and-gold dual-colored horn ornaments on top of the head and the lightweight ribbons also added to the character's agility. The costume chose a pure white jacquard fabric with subtle under-patterns, allowing us to feel a gentle and warm luster during lighting setup.

For the studio scene design, traditional mahogany door and window frames, bamboo slips, and crane ornaments were intentionally arranged. These elements beautifully placed the character into a primitive and elegant atmosphere. The surface of the handheld round fan features exquisite embroidered flowers, which, paired with the jade-white small wine cup held in hand, kept the entire image from being purely static, adding a touch of everyday leisure and ease. Working with the photographer during the shoot, we spent some time adjusting the light and shadow, striving to highlight the ice-porcelain-like texture of this styling.

Speaking of shaping the character's demeanor, Shu's personality leans towards intellectual and composed; therefore, my gaze and sitting posture in front of the lens were subconsciously softened. I tried different hand gestures, such as covering my face with the fan or lightly resting my chin, hoping to showcase the unique Eastern charm under this look. Although the on-site setup and wearing complicated clothing for a long time were a bit tiring, seeing the natural silk folds and the just-right color reproduction in the final photos made everything feel worthwhile. Being able to use the lens to transform a 2D character into a vivid, concrete presentation is the most fascinating part of this passion.
