[Liino cosplay] Arknights: Endfield Speedrun Trainee Arrives

Cutting straight to the point, this shoot features Liino from Arknights: Endfield. This was definitely my most extreme speedrun cosplay attempt recently—from deciding on the character to finishing the look, the timeline was squeezed to the absolute limit. Yet the tighter the deadline, the more critical the details become, and seeing the final outcome brought a genuine sigh of relief.

Starting with the overall Cosplay costume design: the dark blue tube top base is layered with black ruffles across the chest, adding a rich sense of depth and dimension. The bright orange zipper strap right in the center pulls focus, inserting a lively pop of color into the blue-and-white baseline. The outer white short jacket is cleverly styled; I particularly love the two sets of blue stripes and the "00" numeric accents on the sleeves. This tech-sporty design endows the outfit with vibrant energy. The blue-and-white bowtie collar also fits the crisp, refined aesthetic perfectly.

The multi-layered pleated short skirt required significant thought as well; the dark blue hem echoes the top, while scattered white star patterns add a playful, cute maiden charm to the sporty vibe. The purple waist bag is an absolute highlight—don't underestimate this accessory! Its brightness and saturation create a stunning color contrast against the dark blue and pure white, precisely anchoring the visual center at the waist for balanced proportions.

Now for the most daunting challenge: Wig styling. There was literally no ready-made Liino wig on the market. Faced with the strict deadline, I had no choice but to modify a raw base wig from scratch. Only fellow cosplayers understand this struggle! From color gradient adjustments to re-trimming layers and securing the cat-ear headband on top, every step required meticulous hand adjustments. The original base wig flow was completely wrong for the character design, so I had to repeatedly shape the hair bundles and adjust hair flow to ensure seamless integration with the headband, barely achieving that fluffy, natural texture. Being a raw wig modification, every hair straightener pass and setting spray mist required extreme caution to avoid destroying the structure. Fortunately, the natural end result made those late nights entirely worthwhile.

Given her persona as a "Junior idol", I wanted her demeanor to radiate a proud yet sunshiny confidence. Beyond outfit and hair, subtle accessories were key: the cutout strapped over-the-knee socks flattering leg lines while adding a sharp edge, and the blue-and-purple colorblock platform boots perfectly echoing the waist bag while anchoring a stable, commanding stance.

The indoor shooting process was quite engaging, utilizing doorframes and mirrors to capture vertical compositions. Although the frame created slight obstructions on the sides, the visual focus remained tightly locked on the subject without background clutter, while hinting at storage shelves and a windowsill for a touch of lived-in authenticity. Mirror focusing was a physical workout—finding reflection angles and avoiding edge slip-ups required precise posing.

Ultimately, this speedrun wrapped up smoothly. There's room for improvement—like finer wig layering under light and a cleaner background. Yet this high-pressure deadline made every pre-shutter preparation feel deeply rewarding. Completing this look with a custom-modified wig provided invaluable experience. I hope to fully capture Liino's crisp, vivid charm in future shoots, holding onto this passion for cosplaying and continuing to refine my craft.
