From preliminary preparation to the final retouched frames, every detail of this Jsspsi shoot was scrutinized with meticulous care. Starting with the headpiece styling, the branch-like dragon horns underwent multiple rounds of material and surface coating tests to achieve genuine translucence in natural daylight; combined with elf ears, securing them required dozens of bobby pins, making balance difficult to maintain. The blue-and-white color-blocked sections of the attire utilized fabrics with a delicate shimmer, which, paired with black-and-white checkered sleeves and metallic buckles, shifted textures dynamically across different lighting angles. The shoot took place along an outdoor colonnade nestled in a maple grove; waiting for that golden hour diagonal light filtering through the canopy around 3 or 4 PM meant enduring the wind for quite a while. Strong gusts caused the wig and skirt to flutter uncontrollably across my face, resulting in a sky-high discard rate. The golden long tail prop was easily the heaviest item on set: it required subtle one-handed support while projecting a relaxed, effortless curve before the camera. The crossed-leg posture also underwent several resets to fully accentuate the contours of the printed leggings. Post-processing focused primarily on color grading—unifying the autumn foliage into a warm golden hue to contrast against the costume's cool palette, while brightening specular bokeh highlights to enrich dimensional depth. Highlighting across skin tones and clothing was treated with regional separation to preserve authentic dermal texture without plastic smoothing, going straight to final output.
