[Libereilio cosplay] Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Jellyfish New Outfit

This shoot brought Libereilio's new wardrobe from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE to life. Honestly, from the moment the costume arrived until the actual shoot, we fine-tuned countless details. The ensemble is anchored in a palette of white and pale lilac, with the most eye-catching feature being the oversized flared bell sleeves crafted from semi-sheer chiffon. They carry noticeable physical weight when worn, yet provide a stunning flowing drape. To make the sleeves billow naturally before the lens, I had to continuously sweep my arms in sync with off-camera fan breezes—it looks effortlessly airy on camera, but was quite a workout in reality.

The white square halo prop perched above and the pale purple twintails formed the core of the styling. I deliberately chose a wig with airy volume, trimming the bangs and side locks into wispy layers to lend a light, breathing quality on camera. For hair accessories, white lace bows echoed the ruffles on the dress. The fitted white corset bodice hugged the silhouette smoothly, with the plunging neckline flattering body lines, accented by a violet lace choker and a cross pendant necklace to complete the detail work. Being barefoot, I had to stay conscious of toe angles and arched insteps during every movement and pose, which was essential for accentuating leg lines.

Photographer Qingyang dedicated immense effort to set dressing, framing the backdrop with white Gothic arches and Roman pillars adorned with white and blue floral accents, bathed in cool blue backlighting. To embody the concept of a little jellyfish, we suspended translucent jellyfish props across the set. Because jellyfish naturally evoke an ethereal, floating grace, I kept my body language as fluid as possible—holding suspended mid-air postures with engaged core muscles to project weightlessness, or curling my legs semi-tucked over the soft rug to suggest wandering through the boundary between deep ocean waters and a dreamscape.

Looking back across the session, sustaining serene facial expressions while timing the billowing chiffon was definitely the most demanding part. The white and lavender tones can easily desaturate under cool-toned illumination, but post-production faithfully restored their subtle hues. The combination of bare feet and flowing sheer drapery gave the final images an airy, luminous translucency. Everything I hoped to express about lightness and fluid grace is fully captured in this photo suite.
