[Yixuan Cosplay] A Moment of Pure Heart in Zenless Zone Zero - Image 1
[Yixuan Cosplay] A Moment of Pure Heart in Zenless Zone Zero - Image 2

Going out in this 'Yixuan' costume, the hardest part is actually not the complex outfit itself, but finding a subtle balance point between that playfulness and coldness. Today's overall state is quite good, just matching that phrase 'nothing to do today, suitable for a pure heart,' so I took this set of photos in a classical environment.

Let's talk about the material details of this outfit first. The jacket adopts a highly reflective glossy black leather, which forms a clear terminator line under outdoor natural light; it looks excellent whether on cloudy or sunny days, carrying a superb texture of a combat uniform from the game. The neckline section uses a large area of white lace and ruffles, offering rich layers; it's especially worth mentioning that blue 3D flower decoration right in the center of the collar, adding a splash of bright color to the entire black and white base palette, which serves as a highly crucial visual anchor. There are also white strap designs at the cuffs and hem; these small details heavily test the tailor's handicraft.

The lower body is a short pleated skirt with highly layered cuts; the outer layer has some white textures on a black base, while the inner layer reveals a bit of white, giving a lightweight, flowy feeling when moving around. Paired with full-black stockings and classic black high heels, the color uniformity is exceptionally high. This combination elongates the leg lines beautifully; although my feet did get a bit tired after wearing them for a long time, for the sake of photo quality, bodily comfort can only be pushed to the back.

The focus of this styling is actually on the hair. I specially recombed the white wig before the shoot because if the hair color is too white, it easily looks fake or rigid under poor light conditions. I spent quite a bit of thought on the luster and fluffiness; the front bangs couldn't be too thick, needing to be cut with that air-like feel to leave breathing space for the face. A high ponytail is tied at the top of the head and embellished with a black bobby pin accessory, which concentrates the center of gravity of the entire styling on the upper part, making the person look upright. To coordinate with the character's temperament, I selected a pair of light amber contact lenses this time, making the gaze look clearer while adding a sliver of that 'detached from the mortal world' cool aura.

The shoot was selected inside a traditional Chinese style courtyard corridor. That sense of time's precipitation is delivered through wooden pillars, stone steps, and blue brick walls. Bringing this sci-fi style modern clothing into such ancient architecture forms a wonderful contrast. I highly like the leg lines and standing pose in the full-body photo of Image 1. Slightly crossing the legs and raising the right hand to make a 'shh' gesture looks as if interacting with this quiet ancient building. The light during shooting was very soft with no harsh direct light; the leather reflection on the jacket and the skin transparency of the black stockings were perfectly exhibited under an appropriate brightness without overexposure, showing the photographer's excellent grasp of light and shadow.

I was actually a bit constrained when starting the shoot, especially with that gesture; if the movement was slightly too large, it would look very artificial. To find the character's sense of composure, I repeatedly adjusted the shoulder lines, hand height, and eye focal points. When finally frozen, I tried my best to let the gaze focus on the lens, carrying a slight hint of scrutiny, which counts as finding the character's state in a specific scene. Sitting on the steps during the break and watching the bamboo in the courtyard sway gently with the wind, I felt the cool aura in the photos and the relaxation in reality truly overlapped. For the makeup, I maintained a clean and translucent base, weakened the lip color, and emphasized the sharpness of the eye makeup and eyebrow shape to better match the character setting. This type of cosplay is actually a great test of facial muscle control and demeanor; one bit more is too aggressive, while one bit less looks like a child, and today's final output makes me feel I have taken another step forward in the understanding and presentation of the character in Coser daily life during this Anime-style photography work under ancient style on-location photography.
