[Linnea Cosplay] Genshin Impact: The Daily Duties of a Little Sprite

This time I cosplayed Linnea from Genshin Impact, putting a lot of thought into recreating the details of the costume. The soft texture of the pink wig cosplay synthetic hair is very gentle, and the pair of wing-shaped hair ornaments with cyan-blue accents on top of the head is the key focal point of the look; securing them required repeatedly adjusting the angle to make them look natural rather than stiff.

The upper part of the costume adopts a red-and-white color-blocked design, with the wide bell sleeves requiring the most effort. They not only need to maintain a certain puffiness, but also ensure they don't deform when moving my arms, otherwise raising a hand would collapse the silhouette. The red sawtooth trim on the cuffs was shaped with rigid materials, and the beige tag on the left sleeve was an accessory specially sourced for accuracy. The straps at the neckline and chest are tied tightly to support the overall structure and drape, though they pull slightly during bigger movements.

The black belt with a gold square buckle around the waist, paired with the small bag featuring blue diamond patterns on a black background on the side, gives the ensemble a subtle tactical vibe. The red and pink plaid miniskirt on the bottom is visually eye-catching, layered with a pink translucent mesh layer over it to add a touch of airy lightness when walking or shifting poses slightly. I chose pure black nail polish to create a sharp contrast with the red-and-white outfit, making hand gestures stand out more.

This photoshoot wasn't in a specialized studio, just casual at-home mirror selfie cosplay. I picked a red-and-white printed phone case that happened to echo the outfit, functioning as an unexpected accent. The composition in the first photo is quite straightforward, mainly displaying the front view for cosplay outfit sharing with the neckline and waist accessories captured in full. The second photo switches to a single-hand gesture, giving the loose sleeves a sense of extension while better showing the tailored fit around the hips and thighs.

Since I was holding the phone for selfies, finding angles was a technical task. I had to cover parts of my face to maintain a sense of mystery and focus, while ensuring the layers of the wig and the details of the outfit were exposed. For lighting, I used a warm indoor ceiling light without over-exposing, allowing the light pink hair to show natural shadows, which fits the relaxed, everyday vibe of the character in the game even better. Storing and adjusting the props and wig also took time, especially the ornament on top of the head; being even slightly crooked looks awkward, requiring multiple tests in front of the mirror.

After doing cosplay for a while, rather than pursuing ultimate gorgeousness in photos, I tend to enjoy the process of putting on the outfit and achieving character setting accuracy. Linnea's personality has a clever yet natural everyday charm, and this time I tried my best to capture that vibe through the outfit's color scheme and casual poses. The costume is a bit thick overall, restricting neck and arm movement slightly, but taking selfies at home lets me feel more relaxed without worrying about others' judgments. Focusing on making the outfit's lines look cleaner on camera is the purest meaning behind every trial fitting and documentation.
