This time, I am bringing you the Lesser Lord Kusanali, Nahida from Genshin Impact. The overall costume utilizes a light yarn material interwoven with white and green, paired with vine and leaf element decorations, striving to recreate the character's natural and approachable temperament. The wig was specially styled with a silver high ponytail and side bun, paired with elf ears and the grass-leaf headpiece on the forehead, making it visually very close to the in-game image. The shooting location was chosen in a forest where sunlight dapples through the tree canopy. This natural light and shadow atmosphere is particularly suitable for showcasing Nahida's setting of coexisting with the forest. To capture that sense of liveliness, I tried different poses such as standing, sitting on stone steps, slightly lifting one leg, and putting my hands together with eyes closed in prayer. Each angle strived to convey the 2D character's innocence and mystery. In terms of Cosplay photography, the focus this time was using backlighting and side-backlighting to outline the edges of the hair strands and clothing, giving the overall picture a more breathable feel. Additionally, I noticed that a low-angle shot close to the ground elongates the body shape and integrates more grassland elements, making the character look as if she truly grew out of the woods like a Forest Elf. Actually, cosplay is not just about putting on clothes, but rather expressing the character's personality through body language and gaze. For instance, Nahida's gentleness and wisdom need to be revealed in quiet moments. The process of this shoot was highly enjoyable. With every shutter click, I could feel the relaxation brought by the forest breeze and the rustling leaves. I hope this photo set can bring everyone into a serene corner of Sumeru.
