Stepping into this well-lit classroom as Teacher Taihou, I put on this classic campus style outfit. The white shirt is paired with a gray-blue pleated skirt, the red-and-black color-blocked jacket is casually draped over my shoulders, and with the iconic red-rimmed glasses and black animal-ear hair accessory on, the character's traits immediately become clear. To fit the "casual" theme, I toned down the makeup this time, avoiding heavy eyeshadow and bright lips, emphasizing a translucent base and natural eye catchlights instead. During the shoot, we utilized the natural light filtering through the window. The light softly hit my profile, legs, and skirt, allowing the texture of the black tights to look more delicate and making the wrinkles and texture of the clothing more realistic. Schoolbags, textbooks, storage cabinets, and a basketball were intentionally placed in the scene to create a vivid campus space. When shooting this kind of "slice-of-life" cosplay, the key lies in a sense of relaxation, rather than sitting up straight stiffly in front of the camera all the time. Like in the photos, casually sitting on the desk, lifting one leg to relax, or playing with the sleeves of the jacket—these inadvertent little movements often convey the character's personality better than forced standing poses. In Azur Lane, Taihou herself carries a touch of both intellectual and playful temperament. The addition of the glasses further enhances that "teacher" visual, allowing the resulting photos to convey a bit more emotion. I adjusted how the jacket was draped a few times and looked for the most comfortable sitting posture, finally freezing these frames for this casual cosplay log. In fact, behind every cosplay, in addition to restoring the character, it is essential to repeatedly ponder the clothing materials, lighting angles, and sense of atmosphere to give "her" in the photos more vitality.
