The Amiya, the Lord of Fiends look created in collaboration with Qi Chi Ma Ma this time took a lot of thought from hair and makeup to props. The pairing of the crown of thorns and black tulle on the head is intended to present an aura that is both majestic and slightly fragile. For the costume, I specially chose a pure white pleated maxi dress to contrast with the black leather gloves and metallic-textured fragments, highlighting the visual conflict of "the symbiosis of holiness and darkness."

The most laborious part during the shoot was the post-processing of those floating black fragments and pink energy lines. However, to give the images more tension, we also tried using real ribbons and metal pieces beforehand to create dynamic motion. The wig was trimmed to closely frame my face, and paired with ice blue colored contacts, I hoped to recreate that firm yet slightly sorrowful gaze of Amiya in the storyline.

The scene was set with a combination of a pure gray background and classical stone carvings with candles. The texture of the props was polished for a long time—for instance, the broken white stone pillar and the pattern-textured tulle drapes were all meant to bring out the dark fairy tale atmosphere.

Communication with Qi Chi Ma Ma was very smooth, and the lighting setup mainly used a side-backlight to outline the silhouette, making the entire character look more dimensional. During the shooting process, we adjusted the hand movements many times, especially the feeling of that hand wearing black finger cots reaching forward, which needed to look both as if controlling everything and as if trying to hold onto something. I feel I've done my best for the accuracy of this look. Although there are many details, I am quite satisfied with the overall effect. Doing Anime cosplay is not just about putting on clothes, but also an experience of the character's inner state. The loneliness and sense of responsibility of this character in this Arknights shoot gave me more insights.
