A lot of thought went into crafting this Lynae look, from selecting the wardrobe to finalizing the makeup. The wig features a teal-green gradient accented with small yellow and white floral hairpins on the crown. For makeup, the focus was placed on purple colored contacts and peachy-pink blush, while the base was kept as light and breathable as possible with high-SPF sunscreen to handle the outdoor glare. The top consists of a light blue Bikini layered under a white semi-sheer short-sleeved cover-up, hand-sewn with starfish and seashell charms along the neckline for a touch of oceanic charm. The bottom features frayed blue denim shorts accented with a daisy pin, a clear thigh ring, and yellow platform strappy sandals—creating a dynamic, lively palette overflowing with summer energy.
The location was an open-air pool framed by palm trees and a distant Ferris wheel. Around two or three in the afternoon, the sunlight was at its brightest, creating strong light-and-shadow contrast. Photo 1 was taken right along the edge of the pool: right hand raised high in a playful gesture, left hand resting behind my head, and legs crossed. This pose required engaging the core to keep body lines fluid, and I stretched lightly beforehand to ensure leg muscles looked toned and taut. Photo 2 features sitting on a white round stool with crossed legs—a seated pose that works wonders for showcasing leg contours. Because the stool was fairly tall, letting feet touch the ground would have made the pose look rigid, so pointing my toes elongated the visual line of the calves, with a small blue starfish sticker added in post to mask minor leg blemishes cleanly. Photo 3 moves directly into the shallow end, where shimmering ripples and refracted sunlight cast gorgeous caustic textures across the legs. To prevent the sheer cover-up from clinging too heavily from the water, I kept only ankle-deep, using a torso twist and breeze-swept timing to snap dynamic candid frames, complemented by the water gun prop for extra interactivity.
The entire shoot drained more stamina than expected—direct midday sun, combined with the weight of the wig and hairpieces, required frequent makeup touch-ups and hair re-adjustments. The outdoor pool threw off intense reflections, so the photographer pulled down the ambient exposure while using reflectors to softly fill facial light, achieving that crisp, luminous quality. While the shimmering water reflections were stunning, pool edges are dangerously slippery, and holding the slick water gun prop risked dropping it, requiring multiple hand posture adjustments to find a natural grip. Seeing the final results, the color fidelity and lighting atmosphere were thoroughly satisfying; shooting under blistering heat by the pool is definitely exhausting, but capturing that crystal-clear refreshing texture makes every bit of effort worth it.
