[Angels of Delusion cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: A Casual Everyday Presentation

The overall completeness of the hair, makeup, and styling for this Angels of Delusion cosplay from Zenless Zone Zero essentially achieved our envisioned results. I had spent a lot of time thinking about how to present this character; the combination of vivid green contact lenses and a pale blonde wig stands out remarkably before the lens. During makeup application, the focus was dialing in the proportions of the eye makeup. Using such bright contact lenses worked wonders to illuminate my gaze, while the pink-toned makeup and costume harmonized smoothly with the general aesthetic.

The accompanying wig had been trimmed beforehand, with considerable effort poured into the curvature of the bangs. The heart-shaped sunglasses perched atop the head and the leaf hairpins also enhanced character recognition. The primary hurdle with this look was securing the accessories; after several adjustments, they finally held a natural posture in front of the camera.

The plan on the day of the shoot was to head to KFC for everyday KFC photography. We chose a location so brimming with everyday life because the fast-food restaurant's warm-toned ambient lighting and iconic red packaging created a striking contrast against the pink costume. With chicken nuggets, dipping sauces, and drinks arranged across the table, utilizing an authentic dining setting kept the shoot from feeling forced. In composition, we intentionally used the food and drinks as foreground elements to give the overall imagery richer texture and atmosphere. A shimmering pink placemat was brought along as an accent, coordinating with the lighting to produce wonderfully soothing tones.

I was actually pushing through an illness to finish this shoot. Although the makeup and styling were tedious, the results were deeply satisfying. This casual dining style of shoot is intriguing—much like a Female cosplayer revealing another facet of the character while casually grabbing a meal. Because the dining environment felt so grounded, the photos shed the artificial staging of a studio in favor of approachable, slice-of-life warmth. Close attention was paid to the rings and jewelry details on my hands, making the workflow run smoothly.

Preparing a character always requires immense dedication in pre-shoot styling and post-processing. From conceptualizing the outfit and sourcing contacts to crafting the hairstyle, I strived to stay as close as possible to the canon vibe. While the wig occasionally obstructed my vision, pairing it with the sunglasses and small wing accessories injected immense personality into the look. The worldview of Zenless Zone Zero is distinct in itself, and attempting this kind of character taught me a great deal about hair and makeup techniques, particularly color matching and eye makeup nuances. Friends also commented that this everyday presentation style felt distinctive—cosplay blended into real-life settings can sometimes feel far more vivid than pure studio shoots as an Offline recreation.

Personally, I believe this immersive everyday shooting approach better showcases the collision between character design and 2D culture within reality. The immersion provided by the environment is equally paramount: ordering food and holding drinks in the store while wearing this style allowed for completely natural posing, with the light falling across my face and attire with ideal texture. This KFC photography session proved to be a smooth, successful attempt recently; both the fine details and the atmospheric vibe fell right into place, and I hope everyone can feel this everyday contrasting charm.
