[Master cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Summer Swimsuit Photoshoot Log

This Osaka outdoor swimsuit shoot was designed around a refreshing poolside aesthetic, focusing on the Master's styling from Fate/Grand Order. Blessed with great weather and ample sunlight, we chose an outdoor open-air pool as our backdrop. For hair and makeup, a dark headband was paired with long blonde hair and a side braid to add rich layering to the hairstyle. The makeup featured vibrant red eyeshadow and lip shades, keeping my complexion bright and lively under the intense sun. The outfit consisted of a black bikini inner set with white lace trim and a large center bow, layered under a loose light blue oversized hoodie. The hoodie's substantial fabric created a relaxed, casual summer contrast against the swimwear. The leg accessory was a lace thigh ring featuring a silver cross. The first cover photo was a standing shot; to elongate the leg lines, I adjusted my foot placement and shifted my center of gravity backward. Because the hoodie was loose-fitting, I had to constantly adjust the front opening to show off the waistline. The water-splashing shot required a high shutter speed to freeze the water droplets in motion; getting the hand movement to look natural took several takes to nail the perfect timing. When sitting by the edge of the pool, the main focus was shifting my sitting balance to let the legs extend naturally. In terms of photography techniques, to emphasize the subject and bypass cluttered background elements, an 85mm lens with a wide aperture delivered beautiful bokeh, rendering the blue pool water into a clean expanse of color. Since outdoor shoots are easily affected by changing light, we scheduled the shoot during hours when the lighting was relatively even. In post-processing, we refined the fabric folds and skin textures to give the entire frame a luminous, transparent feel. Squeezing in time during a busy convention schedule to complete an outdoor photoshoot was physically demanding, but it made the whole process incredibly fun. The overall composition and color palette remained harmonious; the soft light-blue tones and black undergarments created crisp visual contrast, honoring the character's traits while highlighting a refreshing summer theme. Given future opportunities, I would love to explore even bolder poses and expressions with outdoor shoots like this.
