[Shenhe Cosplay] Genshin Impact Lantern Rite: The Serene Silhouette When All Sounds Fall Silent in the Mountains

Presenting the Lantern Rite themed Shenhe look at the AD05 convention venue, where the photographer captured the character's cool and quiet traits through the lens. The tone of this outfit is mainly black-gray with gold embroidery, paired with a silver-white wig and exquisite metal tassel hair accessories, making the overall visual quite textured. The halter neck and off-the-shoulder cut, along with the detached large flowing sleeves, allow the movement of the upper body to be unrestricted while beautifully outlining the lines of the neck, shoulders, and back.

The shooting environment at the convention was actually quite complex because the venue was large, many people were coming and going, and the light sources were very chaotic. To make the subject stand out in such a vast environment, the photographer chose to use strong front-side lighting to separate the main subject from the dark background. The background lighting and the crowd were blurred out, making the frame much cleaner, leaving only the dark background space and the character's own silhouette. The cyan glowing element of the sign in the picture also became a nice little highlight in the frame, breaking the dullness of the dark environment.

For the makeup and hair, Teacher Lin Qianyang tried to match the character's original design direction as much as possible in terms of hairstyle and eye makeup. The cool tones of the eyeshadow made the gaze appear deeper. For the post-processing, Teacher He Chu unified the color tones of the four photos, leaning towards a cool gray and slightly dark blue atmosphere. This low-saturation color direction is actually very suitable for this kind of design with a slight national style, preventing it from looking too gaudy or complicated.

In terms of posing, overly exaggerated postures were intentionally avoided. Picture 2 (sitting pose) is, in my opinion, a very expressive frame. Sitting half-sideways on a white blanket, the posture is relaxed and natural, while beautifully displaying the details of the leg straps and the proportions of the lower body. Through the angle of the knees extending forward and the high heels touching the ground, combined with the draping feel of the cuffs, the resulting profile has a sense of stability. The pointing movement of the fingers and the curvature of the body are all about finding the stretching of lines within a limited space.

Overall, while this look retains the character's outer silhouette, due to personal conditions and the limitations of the convention venue, there are definitely deviations from the original character in certain details, which is the so-called OOC. However, as a creative attempt at a convention site, the on-site cosplay photography, makeup/styling, and post-processing were all highly professional, completing this set of photos together. Using props and adjusting the lighting on set also took up a lot of time, but the final presentation is high quality and matches the original concept. Sharing this set of convention photos brings a proper conclusion to this convention trip.
