Today I finally received this set of Lynette finished photos shot by Ye-chan, and the entire shooting process was truly a test of endurance. This black, white, and blue combat ensemble is packed with intricate details—especially the glossy corseted vest and the geometric blue bow at the shoulder, which flatter the figure wonderfully but fit quite snugly. To capture the character's agile Catgirl spirit, I specifically prepared plush cat ears, a long tail, and the quintessential pair of black pantyhose. Paired with chunky lace-up ankle boots, it not only elongated my leg lines but also provided sturdy support during leap shots.
During the session, Ye-chan was constantly helping me find the best natural light. We set the scene against stone steps and wrought-iron gates overgrown with ivy; sunlight filtering through the foliage contoured the glossy fabric beautifully. As a prop, I held a bouquet of lilies of the valley, whose tiny white blossoms created a crisp visual contrast against the dark skirt. For the leaping shots, I tried lifting one leg while extending my arms outward. To capture the most natural, suspended moment, I jumped multiple times in succession—exhausting, but seeing the final frames made it entirely worthwhile. For the seated angles, I micro-adjusted my posture to showcase the clean silhouette of the Black stockings and boots. Resting my chin in my hands or leaning to the side captured that quintessential Lynette demeanor: seemingly aloof on the outside, yet gentle within.
As a dedicated Genshin Impact player, cosplaying Lynette has always been a dream of mine. For the makeup, I emphasized reddish eyeshadow alongside the star mark under the eye to align closely with her canon design. Styling the silver-white wig took preparation; I used a curling iron beforehand to create gentle waves and anchored the cat ears securely to the crown so they wouldn't fly off mid-leap. Securing the tail also took plenty of experimentation—it needed to look natural without impeding movement, ultimately fastening firmly around the waist. While the glossy finish of the costume looked stunning in the sunlight, specular highlights were quite tricky, but Ye-chan's mastery of light and shadow handled it flawlessly.
We communicated extensively prior to the shoot, as I wanted to convey Lynette's lightweight, slightly mysterious presence. I even practiced delicate hand poses to ensure my gloved fingers looked graceful. The interplay between Black stockings and the combat dress provided striking visual impact, and seeing the skirt flare out during mid-air leaps achieved the exact Anime cosplay vision I had in mind.
