Executing this photoshoot for the \"Clockwork Princess of Universal Deconstruction\" styling, I wanted to present a fusion of classical clockwork mechanics and magnificent maid aesthetics. Sandrone's design in Genshin Impact is exceptionally refined, particularly her black-white-gold palette combined with abundant ruffles and fine red ribbons, exuding both noble elegance and a subtle sense of mechanical mystery.
The venue chosen for this shoot was a vintage wooden study filled with books. Stepping into the room, I was instantly drawn to its serene atmosphere. For props, alongside character-specific attire elements, I intentionally prepared a fine bone china coffee cup and saucer set with gold trimmings on white porcelain, using the ritualistic feeling of afternoon tea to make the overall composition feel like enjoying teatime in a quiet moment.
Upon receiving the costume, what delighted me most was the headpiece structure and the black-and-gold mandarin collar at the neck. The headpiece features rich folds with strong layered texture, yet feels light when worn, framing the face to appear delicate and small. The collar pendant utilizes solid hardware inlaid with a rich ruby hue that echoes beautifully with red ribbons on sleeves and bow buckles on shoes.
The detachably designed sleeves boast wide black leather cuffs edged with gold trimmings and pointed corners; as arms turn, the sharp sleeve tips create a flowing visual effect with movement. Paired with white gloves, a striking contrast emerges. The lower skirt provides firm structural support while spreading out naturally when seated, revealing dark striped inner linings, white stockings, and round-toe platform high heels, giving leg contours rich texture under light and shadow.
Exploring various photography angles, sitting on the desktop or holding a teacup captured the character's demeanor best. Throughout this set, I strived to interpret a gentle, composed, yet subtly distant gaze. The photographer mastered light control expertly; warm yellow spot-lighting reflected off the desk, wooden bookshelves, and retro lamp, creating light-dark gradations that contoured the figure while bringing out a lustrous sheen on metallic trims and white fabrics.
Sharing this photoshoot set is about showcasing the process of deeply experiencing a character and constructing visual composition. Pairing intricate costume designs with textured vintage ambience serves as a fitting expression for Sandrone's core essence. Every detail from costume styling to prop coordination was meticulously prepared; though adjusting poses and expressions constantly to adapt to the tailoring was demanding, seeing the final images made every effort completely worth it for this Anime-style photography set.
