This time, I chose to do The Shorekeeper cosplay from Wuthering Waves. The design of the entire costume heavily tests texture restoration, with the overall tone centered around a quiet, contrasting blue and white outfit. To capture the character's cool soul infused with the deep ocean's depth, I selected a shimmering light blue long straight wig, with every strand pre-combed and styled. The hood styling on the head took special care; instead of just throwing it on, I used pearl pins and inner linings to prop up a natural, non-collapsing lightweight curve, with the white gauze edges perfectly wrapping around the cheeks to create a mysterious silhouette.

The base makeup needed to be matte yet lively, so the setting process was exceptionally meticulous while preserving the facial bone structures. The eyes were the centerpiece of the entire look; I deliberately made the tear mole under the left eye clear and bright. For the eyeshadow, I layered translucent ice blue with silver shimmer, blending it outward naturally to create a visual effect as if just emerging from the deep sea. The false eyelashes had to be natural, so I chose distinct individual clusters paired with clear gray-blue contact lenses, giving the gaze a hint of aloofness and ethereality. For the lips, I applied a very pale peach milk tea shade to neutralize the distance brought by the cool-toned makeup, making it look softer and more approachable.

The metal decorations and gemstones on the costume are key to elevating the texture. The silver metal collar around the neck has a unique shape that beautifully elongates the neckline, while the cross-star decoration on the chest and the yellow-orange gemstones provide a warm visual skip in the cool-toned frame. The fabric of the clothing presents a subtle sheen under natural light, and its surface texture keeps the image from looking cheap. The background during the shoot simply complemented the subject. To create the Shorekeeper's unique, built-in mood for this atmospheric photography piece, we utilized transparent butterfly special effects props. Especially the one on my fingertip—to freeze the perfect moment of its landing, we adjusted the angles and lighting multiple times.

The post-processing did not use heavy filter rendering; the focus was merely on fine-tuning the overall color temperature to enhance the clear, crystalline water-like gleam within the blue environment, allowing the frame to balance photographic realism with the character's anime design. The composition and facial expression of the first image are closer to that calm looking-back feeling of the Shorekeeper in my heart, so it serves as the main image for this share. Many details in this piece, from the wig to the metal necklace, represent meticulous effort at every stage of polishing, all in hopes of presenting the inherent serenity of the Shorekeeper.
