This time I cosplayed Cartethyia from Wuthering Waves, also known as Fleurdris. From finalising the makeup and styling to the official shoot, many details were prepared before and after. The single-horn design of the headpiece and the elf ears were custom-made. To fit the character's pure and cool temperament, the wig was specially highlighted with a gradient silver-blue, showing a very soft sense of layering under natural light. As for the costume, the black base color of the upper body paired with silver patterns contrasts with the wide, blue semi-translucent capes on both sides; the flowing movement of the cape was the key focus of this shoot. The prop sword was lengthened, and its surface was given a texture similar to frost crystals. It has a certain weight in hand, but it actually helped me find the center of gravity for the character's standing posture. The shoot day was chosen at the seaside reefs, with the light blue sea and sky merging into one as the background. Photographer Qin Qing is very skilled at capturing this kind of ethereal atmosphere; under backlit conditions, the edges of the cape glowed with light, echoing the character's gaze. Originally, I wanted to shoot some dynamic sword-swinging shots, but later found that this quiet side-profile glance back could better showcase Fleurdris's detached yet gentle trait. The post-processing color grading preserved the original cool tones as much as possible without excessive retouching, making the combination of blue and black purer. This attempt gave me a new understanding of detail control in cosplay, especially how the echo between props and costume materials directly affects the temperament of the final photos.
