Seeing the final photos, the main color palette of aqua blue and pure white perfectly aligns with the preset shooting concept. I was initially worried that the layers of this costume were too complex, but during the actual try-on, I unexpectedly found that it has a high tolerance for high-light environments. The overall design of The Shorekeeper stresses translucency and lightness, so this time we explicitly avoided heavy and reflective fabrics for material selection, turning instead to a combination of multi-layered matte tulle and pearlescent white satin. For the photos shot this way, the perception of light can softly envelop the silhouette without making the details of the clothing look muddy.

Regarding the wig part, this time it features a light ice blue paired with a silver-gray gradient. Because the hair strands are fine and soft, treating the airiness at the top of the head took a considerable amount of time. Without properly supporting the internal structure, it would easily look flat under strong light. For this shoot, we specifically adjusted the flow of the hair strands, trying our best to make the edges of the bangs on both sides form a visual echo with the pearlescent small floral accessories. The matte silver metal pieces of the headpiece and armbands were also given anti-oxidation treatments, and we wiped them repeatedly on-site to ensure restrained reflection, avoiding the generation of overly distracting stray lights.

For the scene arrangement, we mainly utilized white Roman columns and hanging blue and white fabrics to build an atmosphere leaning toward the boundary between the deep sea and illusions. The thin mist created by dry ice photographs exceptionally well in a semi-translucent lighting environment. When the character sits on the column bases and steps, the overlapping arrangement of the skirt hem and draperies adds a lot of depth to the entire frame. During the shoot, I adjusted several different postures, such as standing straight for upward views, sitting slightly against a column, and letting my hands hang loose while spacing out. The final selections are the moments I think best embody that seemingly ethereal yet softly resilient nature of The Shorekeeper.

Many details are inseparable from the patience of the stage crew and the photographer. For instance, when the wind moves the set, accurately catching the exact split second when the skirt hem and hair strands flutter is a huge test of improvisation in this style of cosplay photography combining still life and figures. Although there were no complex movement amplitudes, merely the angle of the gaze landing in the halo was aligned dozens of times. High-key photography indeed places demanding requirements on makeup; a tiny overlap of color will make it look dirty. Therefore, the base makeup and lip color also underwent a massive amount of reduction and adjustment to match the scene, preserving a relatively clear and clean texture. I wonder if everyone noticed the coordination between the hanging silver chains and hand movements, which is also a detail we repeatedly scrutinized during the styling phase. The mobility of the silver chains couldn't be too large to prevent tangling into the clothing when moving, yet it couldn't be too rigid either, otherwise it would lose that elegant, flowing feel.

This shoot left me wanting more, and seeing the finished product makes me feel that all the early hesitation was worthwhile. I hope everyone can feel that serene yet powerful sense of strength from the roleplay of The Shorekeeper in Wuthering Waves, rather than just an ethereal visual presence.
