[Firefly Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail, Spring Memories of This City

I completed this outdoor shoot just in time for the afternoon's most beautiful light. Looking at myself in this look through the lens, I momentarily felt as if the character had stepped straight out of the screen. This time, the overall look leaned toward a student vibe—a white sailor-collared top paired with a classic gray-blue plaid skirt and white over-the-knee socks, which lengthened proportions while perfectly matching the fresh spring atmosphere. To stay closer to character settings, I selected a wig with a gradient from silver-white to mint green, topped with a blue headband and butterfly ornament. Though the accessories were not overly complex, the subtle details were enough to brighten the entire look. For makeup, I intentionally wore light purple-blue contact lenses to echo her original eye color, while selecting a brighter red lip shade to highlight my overall complexion and make it appear more vibrant under sunlight.

The shooting location was chosen on a platform walkway near an urban elevated overpass—an expansive outdoor space perfect for capturing natural light and shadows. The red, black, and blue colored glass guardrails along with the distant skyscraper skyline added a strong urban touch to the frame. We were mostly facing the sun during Cosplay photography, deliberately controlling the highlights to keep the contrast between subject and background natural. To seamlessly integrate the satchel prop into the shot, I intentionally held the tote bag straps while posing, creating a casual yet realistic sense of motion akin to walking home after school or commuting, rather than standing rigidly in fixed poses.

The post description mentions seeking memories in this city—in her original lore, she carries a deep obsession with the past and her homeland. Wearing this outfit before modern skyscrapers creates a subtle contrast that feels inherently narrative. When taking photos, I tilted my chin up slightly to project a look of stubborn yet translucent resolve; as the surrounding breeze rustled the wig, the atmospheric mood felt spot-on. Paired with the insect brooch detail on the jacket, her overall presence became even more three-dimensional. For outfits featuring pleated skirts and over-the-knee socks, camera angles are key: low-angle shots visually increase height and lengthen the silhouette while exposing the top edge of the white socks, making leg lines look clean and sharp. The light and shadow reflected on the skirt from sunlight were natural gifts; post-processing only involved basic color grading to retain raw transparency, creating a film-textured Spring Missive color palette.

Although this School uniform outfit appears simple and refreshing, achieving a great photographic result still required meticulous hair and makeup coordination. In particular, the wig's volume required prior styling to display a natural hair flow texture. Moreover, outdoor shooting heavily tests expression management—direct sunlight easily causes squinting, making it essential to find right angles and steady your eye contact in high-brightness environments. This shoot fully utilized the commuting bag and architectural bridge as props, allowing movements to stretch naturally without feeling cramped, successfully capturing several favorite dynamic moments. In presenting this photo set, I hope everyone feels the bright spring ambience and the character's unique persistence that I aimed to convey.
