Today I shot this spring JK-themed set for Firefly cosplay. The costume is from @次元依, featuring a blue sailor collar paired with a grey plaid pleated skirt, a classic Japanese school style. Props like the wooden ukulele, a retro storage cabinet, and an old TV instantly maxed out the overall atmosphere. I specially chose to shoot in a tatami room in the afternoon, wanting to capture the lazy and gentle feeling of sunlight filtering through the paper doors. The photographer's grasp of light and shadow was spot-on, with a natural transition between light and dark, and no heavy filters were used, preserving the authentic texture of the clothing. I tried to blend Firefly with a high school student's daily life, so there was no need to strike overly complex poses. Sitting cross-legged while strumming the strings, or standing on one leg with a slightly raised hand, allowed my overall state to fully relax, which instead better reflected her soft side in private. Shooting this kind of daily-life JK uniform outfit style requires a high level of naturalness in body language and facial expressions, and this time I unconsciously got into the zone. The color tones and composition of the final photos are very comfortable, and I'm glad to share this daily-oriented look from this Honkai: Star Rail cosplay session as a piece of my Anime-style photography.
