I finally captured the exact feel I wanted for Tingyun's iconic red outfit. From testing the look to getting the final shots, it took quite a while—mainly because attaching the beast ears and tail naturally while making sure they didn't look unnatural during crouching or one-legged standing poses was a real challenge. The lighting inside the venue was complex, so I relied entirely on the photographer's quick snapshots, eventually picking a few photos where I felt the expression was spot-on. The red-and-black contrast paired with the pearl necklace really accentuates the character's lively yet subtly proud temperament. The moment the folding fan unfolds, the dynamic energy of the pose comes alive. Convention photos in large venues like this test coordination the most; even with crowds all around, the photographer managed to keep the background remarkably clean. Tingyun's costume has a lot of intricate details, especially the tassels at her waist and the golden thread cloud patterns on her dress, which required finding specific angles during the shoot to properly highlight. The shot sitting on the stairs—where my body was relaxed but my gaze stayed intense—is my favorite from this set. This fluffy shawl was actually quite hot to wear, but enduring it to accurately recreate the character was completely worth it.
