The inspiration for this spring photoshoot came from wanting to present a beautiful record of a casual date. Instead of choosing a grand studio scene, I picked a cherry blossom forest and open green lawns around a university campus, hoping to capture a relaxed, everyday romance that belongs uniquely to a young girl's thoughts on a weekend afternoon.

In terms of clothing choices, this JK uniform with a sailor collar and pleated plaid skirt perfectly fits this "date" setup. The white top features very cute lantern sleeves, and the neckline is adorned with a mint green and white striped bowknot, along with some metallic-textured badge decorations, adding a touch of exquisite layering to its purity. The lower body is paired with a yellow, blue, and gray tri-color pleated plaid skirt that has a great drape, creating a very vibrant fan shape when walking naturally. Combined with white over-the-knee socks and thick-soled black uniform shoes, it subtly elongates the body proportions while preserving student-like cuteness. I also specially paired it with a brown leather briefcase, which not only breaks the plainness of the overall light color scheme but its golden badge details also echo nicely with the metal buckles on the top for this JK uniform outdoor photoshoot.

Regarding hair and makeup, this time I wore a silver-white long straight wig with a light cyan-green gradient at the tips, and the hair strands presented a very soft luster under natural light and shadow. The mint green bowknot hair accessory on top of my head, as a key visual element, achieved a perfect sense of unity in color with the bow tie on the uniform. Because I wanted to present that pure and flawless gaze, the makeup this time was deliberately made very clear and light, using only extremely subtle eyeshadow and soft contouring, emphasizing a bright and even base makeup. Paired with light purple contact lenses to add depth and storytelling to the gaze, the overall state was relaxed and natural.

The forecast on the day of the shoot was originally cloudy, but unexpected sunlight spilled down in the afternoon. The dappled tree shadows hitting the cherry blossom branches and the white walls perfectly added rich layering and warmth to the frame. To fit the theme of "dating like an ordinary girl," the photographer and I didn't intentionally pose in rigid stances for movement guidance, but rather chose many life-like dynamics—such as sitting on a park bench and turning sideways to adjust hair strands, slightly squinting against the wind, or lightly lifting one leg while naturally striding along the edge of the lawn holding the briefcase. These seemingly casual snapshot moments instead filled the frame with a fresh, defenseless breath of air for this cherry blossom cosplay.

In post-processing, we decided to try our best to preserve the natural highlights and soft shadows of the natural light itself rather than over-rendering. The overall atmospheric color grading leaned towards a low-saturation creamy Japanese style, allowing the cherry blossom pink, plant green, and the grayish-blue of the uniform to blend harmoniously, conveying the gentleness and warmth of spring. Through this shoot, I tried to strip away the character's complex background, retaining solely her pure side as an ordinary girl enjoying life and nature in spring. In my view, cosplay is not just about recreating a character's look, but also a process of finding another possibility for the character in the real world. This sense of daily life that tightly connects the 2D and 3D worlds is exactly the creative expression I have been pursuing. I hope these few photos can deliver this little piece of happiness in spring, allowing you to feel this comfortable atmosphere.
