[Ryuge Kisaki Cosplay] Blue Archive: Convention Photos Sharing from Firefly ACG Expo

It's been a while since Firefly ACG Expo wrapped up, and today I finally organized this set of Blue Archive Ryuge Kisaki photos from my album to share with everyone. From the moment I decided on this character, preparation time was actually extremely tight. Although I chose her familiar casual school uniform look this time, no effort was spared in terms of recreation fidelity.

Let's talk specific styling details. First is her signature dark twintails; during styling, special attention was paid to bang curvature and side lock texture to ensure the wig contoured naturally to my face shape without appearing bulky due to sweat at the expo. Black cat ears atop my head were custom-made, paired with that blue-and-white hair bow ribbon and the silver-white halo, giving the overall top outfit an immediate sense of presence.

For costume selection, I picked a white shirt with crisp, structured texture. The tie is dark blue with white stripes, adjusted specifically in length so it rested right above the waist. For the bottom piece, I chose a navy blue pleated skirt with a wider flare so it swung naturally while walking around the convention, bringing out a strong youthful student feel. Paired with a black leather backpack, the overall everyday campus atmosphere became very clear.

As for props, preparation was thorough. A black folding fan featuring subtle bone carving details and tassels at the end felt genuinely elegant and mysterious in hand. I also brought a uniquely styled black-and-red prop gun; its fidelity was very high, offering comfortable grip texture and weight.

Weather at Firefly ACG Expo was quite pleasant on shooting day, with soft natural light. Therefore, we didn't use complex lighting rigs, relying primarily on ambient convention light and reflector boards held by the photographer. Because the character lore inherently features a cool yet playful demeanor, I worked hard to showcase different facets in front of the lens.

For instance, in the first picture using a wide-angle lens, I reached out toward the camera while holding the fan to create dynamic depth. The second image shows me holding the prop gun in a more poised standing posture, aiming to convey a confident, composed state. In the last photo, I wore the backpack, leaned forward, and gently pulled up my hair. I felt this everyday, interactive posture better brought the character to life, shedding stiff mannequin poses.

Actually, attending conventions every time isn't just about putting on a character costume for a check-in; it feels more like an immersive experience of the original work. From makeup adjustments and costume fit to prop placement, every detail impacts final photo quality. Through this process, I gained a deeper understanding of Ryuge Kisaki. I tried interpreting her composed yet subtly mysterious aura from my own perspective.

The atmosphere at Firefly was fantastic; meeting many fellow Blue Archive fans and recognizing each other or taking photos together at the venue brought immense achievement. Although wearing a somewhat thick shirt and wig all day made me hot and sweaty, seeing the final photos sent by the photographer made all the effort worthwhile.
