[Seed cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Convention Scene: Light Hair Color Recreation Record

When putting on this Seed gear on-site at the Zenless Zone Zero Fes, my initial thought was actually worrying whether I could pull off the character's unique presence. The design of this outfit is exceptionally recognizable—light cyan braided twintails paired with a white techwear combat suit, accented with striking bright yellow highlights, creating a look that is both light and distinctly tactical.

To ensure optimal presentation on the day of the convention, considerable effort went into pre-shoot hair and makeup styling. The light cyan hue of the wig is not an everyday color; styling the fluffy top bun and side braids required meticulous fixation. Meanwhile, although the white detached sleeves and lower-body strap elements look fantastic visually, adjusting their tightness during actual wear was essential—both to prevent red pressure marks that spoil the visual lines and to ensure nothing slipped while walking around. Wearing the thick gloves that day meant re-adapting to the tactile feel when holding props and posing.

For the photoshoot, we deliberately scouted an industrial-style staircase corridor inside the venue. The yellow-and-black metal mesh railings resonated wonderfully with the character's hardcore persona; using these geometric lines as foreground elements broke up the monotony of solid backdrops while generating a modern, cool contrast in frame. To express Seed's dual nature—crisp combat readiness blended with a playful, cute demeanor—I incorporated single-hand gestures and leg raises, aiming to infuse dynamic momentum into static Convention photography.

Walking and turning in a cosplay outfit packed with so many details was indeed more demanding than imagined, especially with the strapped accents around the knees, which initially made me worry about looking stiff while walking. Fortunately, the accompanying photographer was adept at candid captures, snapping many natural moments between steps. Interacting with fellow fans from other booths where they immediately recognized me as Seed was an extraordinarily rewarding feeling.

Looking back at these Convention photos now, even though white garments easily pick up ambient tints under complex convention lighting, the overall color fidelity turned out quite impressive. This combination dominated by off-white and accented with bright yellow, paired with lightweight fabrics in a White thigh-highs outfit aesthetic, truly tests makeup cleanliness. Therefore, I deliberately emphasized under-eye definition and cheek color, keeping facial features dimensional and spirited against the complex industrial backdrop. I look forward to wearing similar techwear designs at future offline expos to explore more engaging studio sets or outdoor locations, showcasing this sci-fi daily state even better. After all, dedicating oneself to every cosplay and recreating the character's exclusive ambiance in the right setting is the most authentic expression of my passion.
