[Ryuge Kisaki cosplay] The Blue Phantom of Blue Archive, Guangzhou Baonly Outdoor Kisaki Qipao

Among the itineraries for this Guangzhou Baonly convention, this set of Ryuge Kisaki outdoor photos is one that I am highly satisfied with. The softness of the light that day was just right, and the reflection from the glass railing gave the overall color palette an extra layer of cool and translucent feeling. Since the theme this time is the switching between the character's everyday and combat states, I also intentionally made some subtle adjustments to the styling.

The main look selects this deep blue modified Kisaki Qipao. The tailoring fits the figure beautifully, the bright blue frog closures at the neckline and sides serve as very eye-catching embellishments, and the embroidered patterns on the chest add a touch of texture. Layering it with a matching striped cardigan not only prevents the overall styling from looking too thin but also forms a natural drape in the outdoor wind, adding a dynamic sense of breathing to the photos.

Actually, in the cosplay preparation process, what took the most thought was the hairstyle and headwear. The high-set twin tails utilized a deep blue wig with layered processing, which, combined with the blunt straight bangs, perfectly restored Ryuge Kisaki's cool and resolute temperament. The blue and white bowtie hair accessory on top is a crowning touch, displaying a subtle gradient sheen under side lighting.

The prop configuration for this shoot is also quite rich. The black and gold briefcase aligns well with her character setting of a "chaebol" or "chief executive," featuring rigid lines that beautifully stabilize the composition when placed beside me. The prop gun in my hand is used to showcase another combat state; the sense of weight when holding it makes the posture look more grounded, making it easier to recreate the calm and unhurried mature older-sister aura from the game's official illustration.

Regarding the shoes, I chose a pair of minimalist black low-heeled pumps. Paired with the short hemline of this Kisaki Qipao, it elongates the leg proportions beautifully. When shooting the second set of gun-holding actions, extending the legs naturally in a sitting posture allows the viewer's visual focus to concentrate on the props and clothing details of the upper body, while beautifully displaying the character's leg lines.

As part of the everyday convention strolling and sharing Convention photos, this kind of outdoor half-body and full-body composition tests the photographer's focal length choice. Since the adjacent glass railing was actually quite low, to avoid a cluttered background, the photographer cleverly used a large aperture to blur the urban buildings behind into light blue bokeh, keeping the atmosphere of the entire set of photos exceptionally clean.

Portraying Ryuge Kisaki actually involves a matter of nuance; she shouldn't appear too weak, nor too cold and rigid. In capturing this snapshot moment of spacing out while pinching the hair tail, switched with the gaze locking onto the lens when holding the gun, I tried my best to manifest her state of being in a high position yet somewhat casual and unhurried. For friends who like Blue Archive, the character of Kisaki doesn't just have her own storyline; her vibe when standing there is also highly recognizable.

Experiencing this convention, walking inside and outside the venue in this Kisaki Qipao, although the weather was slightly warm, the feedback and interactions harvested made me quite satisfied. This set of Convention photos restored my understanding of this character's image in my mind, including the costume details, prop pairings, and handling that cool yet guarded temperament, achieving a highly satisfying balance overall.

Many people ask me what to pay the most attention to during the cosplay process. I feel that apart from the external clothing, makeup, and props, the perception of the character's current context is equally important. When shooting outdoors, maintaining a relaxed state to let actions naturally blend into the environment will prevent the resulting prints from having too obvious traces of forced posing.

This set of Ryuge Kisaki styling and shooting, from hairstyle and makeup to clothing and props, contains a bit of my own careful thought. The entire shooting process proceeded very smoothly throughout, and these few frames screened out at the end as the final Convention photos serve as an excellent summary of my trip to Guangzhou Baonly this time.
