Taking this Zenless Zone Zero Lucy cosplay costume, rich in rebellious biker elements, into the studio, I chose a gray background to highlight the toughness and playfulness of the black leather and red-and-white plaid elements.

For the outfit, I chose a short black leather biker jacket with a printed T-shirt underneath. The waist features a multi-chain metal belt adorned with metal rivets and pendants. For the lower half, I swapped between two different bottoms depending on the shooting angle: one is black shorts with fuzzy trim paired with dangling red-and-white plaid straps, and the other is an asymmetrical, raw-edged red-and-white plaid skirt. The boots are red-and-black color-blocked knee-high heeled boots, accented with metal buckles and chains, creating a very rich visual layering.

The shoot mainly experimented with three poses. The first is standing casually while shouldering that cylindrical prop with metal spikes, presenting an overall casual and untamed biker punk vibe. The second pose involves resting one hand on the brim of the helmet with horn-like protrusions, while the other hand naturally holds the modified baseball bat with an extremely wide base, attempting to find a balance between cool dashingness and agile nimbleness. The third is kneeling on one knee using the baseball bat as a support point. This angle completely showcases the leg lines and the rivet details on the boots.

Regarding the props, to stay true to the character design, I specially crafted this massive modified baseball bat. It features sharp metal spikes at the end of the handle, and the cylindrical base is thick and heavy. Holding it gives a real sense of weight, creating the look and feel of heavy combat gear. The small red creature prop in Photo 1 also adds fun to the image; it wears an identical spiked metal helmet and holds a golden spiked club with both hands, serving as a perfect foil and contrast.

The lighting layout focuses on highlighting textures. The solid gray background perfectly captures the highlights, finely depicting the glossy reflection of the leather jacket, the texture of the metal belt, and the chains on the boots. During the shoot, I repeatedly adjusted the angle of the baseball bat to prevent the bulky prop from obscuring the excellently tailored details of the costume, striving to arrange the visual elements along the golden ratio of the frame.

In the preparation phase, just adjusting the metal buckles of the leather jacket and the tightness of the helmet took quite some time, as I needed to ensure the position of every rivet and zipper perfectly matched the original character art. When the golden twin tails were let out from the underside of the spiked helmet, the character's recognizability and tension instantly popped out. Besides looking great in studio photography, this outfit is actually very suitable for street-style shoots. However, the clean atmosphere of the studio shoot maximizes the industrial feel of the gear, which I feel is the most fitting interpretation.

Overall, this cosplay had high standards for material details—from the texture of the leather and the weathered marks on the metal pieces to the edge treatment of the plaid fabric, all aimed at expressing the character's sense of layering more solidly. The final photos retain the original balance of ruggedness and playfulness, without excessive skin smoothing, so everyone can clearly see the physical structure and characteristics of this cosplay gear.
