This shoot featured Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, themed around "Take me to the Moon." In her character lore, she carries a cool, somewhat melancholic aura, so for styling I chose a pinkish gradient wig cut with a textured, slightly disheveled look to enhance natural motion in the night breeze. The eye makeup was meticulous, emphasizing a deepened lower lash line paired with light-colored contact lenses to give her gaze a piercing intensity. Lipstick was chosen in a dark red tone, appearing cold yet street-smart. For the costume, a white off-the-shoulder jacket was paired with a glossy black patent leather bodysuit—its high reflectivity sharply contouring the silhouette. The lower body featured white shorts and burgundy over-the-knee boots; the matte texture of the tall boots contrasted with the reflective fabrics above, creating rich visual layers.

The shoot was set on an elevated rooftop night view against a dense array of cool-blue lights. The photographer used a wide-aperture lens to render background lighting into smooth, circular bokeh, reinforcing the cyberpunk lore atmosphere. The key light was a warm continuous light casting on the front to ensure clear facial detail, while a cool rim light was positioned from the rear-side to sculpt the silhouette; the black patent leather texture looked phenomenal under this collision of warm and cool light. To match the character's persona, multiple poses were tested. The most visually dynamic shot was sitting on the railing looking back: leaning forward with one hand supporting the body gracefully elongated the back and leg lines, staring straight into the lens with a cool, fierce intensity. Leaning directly against the railing created a sense of distant detachment, paired with holding a thin white stick between the lips for effortless nonchalance. Another shot featured resting one foot on the railing—a stance maximizing long leg proportions that, combined with an aloof expression, added great visual tension.

It was quite windy that night, often messing up the wig, requiring constant adjustments to keep the effortless beauty of windblown strands. Fine-tuning the lighting also took considerable time, as patent leather easily blows out with specular flares, demanding repeated angle adjustments to preserve garment details. In post-processing, the surroundings were deliberately darkened while preserving the cool-blue tones, letting the pink-purple hair and crimson lips take center stage. Whenever shooting characters with such strong universe settings, precise synergy between costumes, props, and lighting is vital. The final photos fully matched my vision for this character and series; the night shoot ambiance and patent leather textures were well-balanced, making it a deeply immersive Anime cosplay and Night view cosplay experience.
