When putting on this primarily blue-and-white maid outfit and completing the fixation of the headpiece, blue halo, and animal ears, the daily lively vibe of the character Ichinose Asuna was completely awakened. In the setting of Blue Archive, she possesses both the crisp cleanliness of a maid and the airheaded, friendly attributes of a big dog, and this outfit perfectly materializes these traits. For the makeup look, I chose a translucent base paired with a light-colored wig trimmed into specific layers and curves to recreate the character's fresh and bright visual feel. This type of makeup, combined with soft lighting, maximizes avoiding any stiffness brought by the wig and headpieces.

Regarding the cut and pattern of this costume, there are actually many details worth sharing. The neckline of the maid dress adopts a moderate keyhole cutout design in the front, which, paired with the bowtie and layered ruffles, retains the classic sweetness of a maid outfit while just right displaying the lines from the neckline to the collarbone area. The stitching between the black puff short sleeves and the white apron is treated with black piping, adding a sense of layering. The bright blue sash around the waist is the crowning touch of the entire design, breaking the monotony of the black-and-white color scheme and instantly brightening the overall tone of the outfit. During the wearing process, that fluffy light brownish-yellow big tail requires a bit of balance for my center of gravity; I needed to pay attention to its placement angle when standing or sitting so it could present a naturally draped or slightly upturned state in the photos.

In this studio photoshoot, I specially designed two action compositions with different visual focuses. For the first picture, I chose a sitting posture, with my legs naturally extended forward and slightly crossed. This pose can excellently display the extension of the black tights and leg lines within the frame. Paired with the toast and green desserts on the tray in front of me, it creates a lazy, cozy vibe, as if taking a brief rest during afternoon tea. When shooting this kind of slice-of-life scene, your gaze doesn't need to look directly at the camera deliberately; letting it wander slightly or relax instead helps capture the character's inherently unguarded state.

The second picture shifts to a kneeling composition. In this set, I attempted a dynamic movement that emphasizes femininity and sexiness, with both hands lifting the skirt hem from the sides, tilting my head slightly to look at the camera. The moment the skirt is lifted, the details of the black tights on the thigh section are revealed. Adding a pair of black, red-soled pointed high heels placed to the side not only enriches the foreground elements of the frame but also adds a narrative atmosphere of 'taking a break after taking off one's shoes.' When shooting scenes with such obvious close-ups of leg hosiery, I paid close attention to adjusting the height of the lighting. If the softbox angle is too high, it easily reflects strong light onto the black tights, making the reflective area look too large and unnatural; if the angle is too low, the texture of the leg skin is lost. After multiple adjustments, we finally achieved this delicate, glossy, and non-intrusive hosiery effect.

After the shoot, when color-grading the photos during post-processing, I preserved the slightly cool blue color temperature of the studio environment, making the skin tone and white apron appear cleaner and more translucent, while the color purity of the black tights and blue accessories was not excessively boosted—everything was done to restore a clean, natural visual effect that combines the anime world with reality. Although due to some personal habits, I added an emoji sticker on the picture for decoration and privacy blocking, this did not overshadow the mature maid style that the overall photoshoot intended to express. The vibrancy of Ichinose Asuna's character from Blue Archive, as well as the inherent playfulness and agility of this outfit itself, are all conveyed through these two completely different shooting postures and camera languages. For cosplay, challenging different styles of movements and expressions is actually an important step in making a character come alive within oneself.
