[Momonoka cosplay] Arknights: A Pink-Hued Girl's Languid Daily Life Sipping Juice by the Window

Regarding this character, I actually put off the shoot for quite a while before finally doing it. Hanyu Momoka is a character I've always wanted to try portraying; this time we chose a window-side café with gorgeous natural light, which complemented this reddish-brown plaid skirt perfectly. The wig was a long pink style with subtle highlights, with the two oversized dark brown bows at the crown serving as the very soul of the look—anchoring them properly took quite a bit of effort. For makeup, I chose blue-green contact lenses, dotted a few beauty marks on my cheeks, and paired this with the white collared shirt and black necktie; I was quite pleased with the overall fidelity. During the shoot, I held a glass of orange juice; though used as a prop, it was actually quite refreshing to drink. After wrapping up these sets, counting them up, I still have several unedited photosets piling up on my computer—shooting is pure bliss, but post-processing is an absolute funeral! Honestly, finding this shoot location was a happy accident. The yellow vase with dried flowers by the window matched the color palette nicely, while the blue and beige curtains on the right served as a backdrop, melting into soft background blur to create a serene indoor atmosphere. I intentionally tweaked my seated poses: in one, resting my chin in one hand while gazing at the lens; in another, holding the drink, aiming to bring out that relaxed, effortless mood. The beverage in my hand was just store-bought orange juice from a convenience store, but the color turned out surprisingly fitting in the frame. The entire shoot took roughly an afternoon—getting dressed and styling took up most of the time, while the actual photography went quite fast. When retouching, I deliberately preserved film grain and subtle warm tones without over-smoothing the skin, wanting the images to evoke a lived-in, everyday feel. Speaking of which, posting photos is always my most conflicted moment, because facing a mountain of raw files, color grading, liquifying, and touching up details frame by frame often goes on until dawn. This time, I seized a bit of free time to get them sorted. As a cosplayer, besides commercial events and official cosplay photoshoots, I also take on everyday casual shoots like this, mainly to chronicle the characters I adore. Compared to professional studios, I actually prefer locations illuminated by natural light, which makes capturing candid, vivid moments much easier. Although this character's outfit isn't overly intricate in construction, the pairing of oversized bows and plaid skirt is visually iconic—slipping it on felt like stepping straight out of 2D into reality. Throughout the shoot, I communicated extensively with the photographer regarding camera angles and gaze direction, striving to present my best state before the lens.
