[Cartethyia Cosplay] Wuthering Waves — Live Convention Photos from Innocent Expressions to Meticulous Details

When shooting this set, I deliberately adjusted my facial expressions to capture that innocent, naive look while keeping a cold, distant demeanor at its core. Combined with the angles and lighting caught live by photographer @晨昏光影, it echoed the "harmless yet lethal" contrast mentioned in the original post.

A lot of effort went into Cartethyia's makeup and styling details this time. First, hair and makeup: the light blonde wig was intricately braided and accented with a blue-and-white metallic-textured headpiece. To align with the character's vibe, I wore light blue contact lenses with soft blue shading around the eyes, which, alongside slender elf ears, naturally blended soft facial contours with ethereal 2D elf aesthetics in this Elf ears cosplay. A slightly vacant gaze during the shoot instantly evoked that innocent, focused look.

Outfit materials and tailoring were major highlights of this cosplay. The main outfit splices black, white, and blue using subtly shimmering fabrics. The vine-like crossed blue rope weave on the chest is a key visual focus, meticulously woven to showcase structural texture under lighting, echoing the silver geometric stitching on the garment. A rigid black choker with a golden buckle on the neck injects a touch of toughness into the light, fairy-like aesthetic. Meanwhile, the translucent cape at the back drapes from white to deep ocean blue with gold-thread embroidery along the edges, fluttering rich layers with every step.

Held at a convention venue, the indoor lighting was quite complex. Under high-contrast light sources, silver pendants and diamond-shaped metal charms at the skirt hem reflected light easily, adding brilliant texture accents. For footwear, clear platform high-heeled sandals with white rope ankle wraps elongated the leg lines. Walking across uneven convention flooring in those heels was a test of balance, though the gray anti-slip floor mats provided decent support. Maintaining elegant posture while subtly engaging my feet took real effort!

To complement the look, translucent white armbands wrapped around my arms. This off-shoulder and strap combo highlighted arm lines, while cutouts on the chest and waist added feminine tension without losing character mystery.

Honestly, being surrounded by convention crowds requires getting into character quickly. Yet the bustling atmosphere stimulated me to immerse deeper into Cartethyia. The cool design mixed with white, blue, and black rendered a quiet yet powerful image on camera. Capturing a great shot isn't just about static poses—subtle eye shifts and hand positioning, like holding arms slightly close with fingers gently curved in the photos, were natural results of live photographer communication. That hidden sharp edge is the core vibe this set aims to convey.
