[Phoebe Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Lawson collaboration, a convention moment carrying a picnic basket

Picnic baskets, daisies, books, and this Lawson collaboration Phoebe sailor uniform—I finally managed to capture the image in my mind at this convention.

Actually, to gather this picnic-themed set of props, I prepared for quite a long time beforehand. The blue book in the basket was specially found to match the overall color tone, and the daisies were just picked from the flower shop in the morning, all to present the most natural sense of daily life in front of the lens. The wig was chosen to have blunt bangs and hair buns on both sides, with the golden hair strands giving off a warm tone under the venue's lighting. To restore the feeling of the original art and the collaboration setting, I deliberately intensified the red-pink eyeshadow in the makeup, paired with purplish-red contact lenses, hoping to add a bit of mystery to the liveliness. The black chain choker on the neck is a crucial detail; it adds a bit of visual contrast against the pure white sailor collar and the blue-and-white striped dress.

The lighting at the convention venue is actually quite complex, with a lot of top lighting that easily casts strange shadows on the face. Fortunately, photographer @Lou Qianqiu is very experienced. For the first picture, we utilized the top lighting of the venue, and through a low-angle upward shot, it not only elongated the body proportions but also nicely blurred the background. At that time, I tried a pose of lifting one leg back, looking back at the camera, while my right hand naturally held the wicker basket. This not only allowed the layering and ruffles of the skirt hem to spread out naturally, but also showcased the effect of the leg lines paired with black Mary Jane shoes and white lace socks.

The second high-angle top-down shot is a perspective I really like, leaning forward while holding the basket with both hands, where you can see the blue-and-white stripes of the collar and the bow details on the chest. The small blue bows and cuff lace on the long sleeves are also bonus points for this outfit. The multi-layered design of the skirt hem stacks up very nicely when bending over, with distinct layers of white and blue lace. The entire shooting process was extremely pleasant; the photographer is very good at capturing dynamic moments, such as the moment of stepping forward carrying the basket, or the natural expression when looking down at flowers.

The material of this sailor-style dress is relatively crisp, which can well support the arc of the skirt hem. Although the long sleeves were a bit warm inside the convention venue, it was totally worth it for the sake of the photo results. Walking on the concrete floor and listening to the crisp sound of the leather shoes made me feel like I was truly in a leisurely picnic. Personally, I really like this blue-and-white color combination—fresh yet exquisite. Matched with simple white socks and black leather shoes, it has both the characteristics of an anime character and a certain vintage dress feel.
