I sorted out a set of photos of Solaris Sigrika's look. The overall shooting style this time takes a soft and dreamy route, which perfectly matches the character's bright and energetic vibe. As a part of Wuthering Waves, Sigrika's impression is that of a very distinct and lively personality, so when preparing for this cosplay, I focused on recreating her relaxed and pleasant temperament.
The focus of this styling lies first in her hairstyle. This orange long-braided twin-tail wig involves heavy craftsmanship; not only did I have to handle stray hairs, but I also needed to weave the braids on both sides evenly and fluffily so that the front could present that fuzzy and cute visual effect. To get closer to the character's traits, I also left two strands of fine bangs by the side of my face. Paired with the large white bowknot and cloud-shaped hair ornaments on top, the overall head silhouette becomes very full.
In terms of makeup, I deliberately enlarged the eye makeup part this time, wearing dark, large-diameter colored contact lenses to highlight the 2D feel. A relatively noticeable pink blended blush was swept under the eyes, which, combined with the slightly pointed elf ears, makes the whole person appear highly innocent and agile. Although the eye makeup leans heavy, the overall base makeup still maintains a relatively light texture, ensuring this Anime-style makeup and styling look won't appear particularly rigid. For lip color, I chose a rather translucent peach shade, which isn't jarring and beautifully brightens the skin tone, harmonizing wonderfully with the light purple gradient tone of the clothing.
The design details of the costume are also highly worth mentioning. The main body is a white-and-blue color-matched sailor collar off-the-shoulder top, with a metal buckle decoration at the chest adding some texture to the overall presentation. The most eye-catching part is these two wide flared sleeves, featuring a white-to-purplish-red gradient color that is highly dreamy, and the cuffs are also adorned with small white tassels, appearing ethereal and agile when swinging. The white detached arm ring design on the arms also adds some lifestyle layering; the minor details of the bracers and arm rings blend a slight techwear style into the soft and cute vibe.
I am particularly satisfied with that large orange element on the headpiece; its appearance adds a dash of playful color to the entire look, truly fitting Sigrika's label of a non-melancholy personality. There are also those iconic pointed ears; to ensure a natural feel during the shoot, I did sufficient pre-shaping in advance so that no matter how I turned my head or struck a pose, the ears wouldn't fall off or look out of place. Additionally, the weight of the cloud hair ornament on the head is relatively concentrated, but fortunately, a great balance of the center of gravity was achieved this time; wearing it for a whole day didn't result in any tilting or falling, which brought immense convenience to the shoot.
The requirements for light were quite high for this shoot. To create this soft-focused and hazy effect in the photos, I used some diffusion cloths and filters. The post-processing retained the texture of the person's skin while enhancing the translucency of the clothing's gradient, leaning the overall color scheme towards warm tones to match the warm atmosphere brought by the orange hair color. Several postures from different angles were also attempted at the shoot location, such as shots slightly turning the head to showcase the twin-tails of the headpiece, while also paying special attention to preventing the braids and cuffs from clashing. Overall, the process from styling to shooting and then to post-production went very smoothly this time, making it a highly healing Coser daily life experience.
