This time, the character I portrayed is Amiya from Arknights. Preparing this look took considerable care and dedication. Starting with the makeup, the base focused on a clean, luminous finish, centering the primary weight on the eye makeup. I wore high-saturation Blue colored contact lenses to faithfully reproduce the character's iris color, emphasizing the lower lashes and aegyo-sal with light brown eyeshadow, complemented by pink blush to bring a healthy, radiant flush to my complexion. The wig is a medium-length brown cut, carefully trimmed around the bangs and sideburns to contour along the edges of my face while preserving that layered dimension unique to 2D anime styling.
In terms of accessories, the pair of Bunny ear hair accessories served as the core of the styling. The exterior features brown plush while the interior is a soft off-white, offering a thick, tactile feel to the touch. Black ribbon bows were affixed at the base of the ears, each centered with a silver metallic cross, mirrored by a metallic cross barrette pinned into the hair on the right side. This resonance across subtle details elevated the recognizable identity of the whole ensemble. For wardrobe, I chose a white off-shoulder top featuring ruffled accents, designed with a pleated high collar tied with a slender navy-blue ribbon that draped naturally. The off-the-shoulder cut flattered the neckline and shoulders, echoing the original character design aesthetic. On my fingers, I wore several bright blue plastic ring bands as subtle accents to further enrich the visual details.
The shoot took place in a warmly decorated interior studio featuring white bookshelves, wooden tables, chairs, and a fireplace. The cozy ambient warm lighting and homey furnishings lent the photos a comfortable, lived-in feel. During the session, I explored several distinct poses: one with a semi-clenched fist held against my chest, and another striking a finger-gun gesture close to my cheek, aiming to express the character's lively side through playful body language. Before the camera, maintaining a clear yet resolute gaze was essential, which, accentuated by the Blue colored contact lenses, gave my focus an intense, penetrating clarity.
I am very pleased with how this shoot turned out overall—both the wardrobe coordination and the tactile texture of the props aligned closely with my expectations. Every Anime cosplay endeavor, from makeup concept to prop and costume preparation, is an ongoing journey of exploration. Through these outward artistic forms, I strive to embody the character's essence as faithfully as possible. I will definitely continue challenging myself with diverse styles in future projects.
