The originally scheduled outdoor shoot was temporarily put on hold due to a sudden downpour. Having already arrived on the street, I had no choice but to grab my gear and take shelter in the nearest coffee shop. With rain streaming down the glass outside, I simply ordered a drink to sit and rest. Seeing the warm lighting combined with the stairs and wooden tables inside, and looking at the Amiya JR collaboration outfit at hand, I thought why not just snap a few shots on the spot. This outfit has many elements: a blue sailor collar, white arm sleeves, wide sleeves with gold and red stripes, as well as a black bow tie and a gemstone pendant at the neckline. Combined with my favorite giant fluffy bunny ears and bright blue colored contacts, the entire vibe came alive instantly. Because it was indoors with warm, dim lighting, natural light was used for shooting. Without the extra-bright reflectors prepared for the outdoors, we relied entirely on the soft light by the window. The first photo shows me sitting in front of a wooden table, resting my chin in my hand, pretending to gaze at the books and faux flowers on the table lost in thought, looking quite gentle and quiet; the second photo shows me sitting on an adjacent chair, holding an iced drink with both hands and looking relaxed at the camera, appearing more casual and everyday. It was truly an unexpected delight. Even though we couldn't make it to the originally planned venue, the everyday, lively ambiance of the café added a touch of life to this outfit, stripping away the distant, aloof feeling of the past. Some minor difficulties were also encountered during shooting, such as the heavy bunny ears easily obscuring the face or drooping back due to gravity, requiring a lot of adjustment to find the best angle. Having such a natural final shot made braving the rain completely worthwhile. As a rare indoor emergency shoot, the results were indeed surprisingly great. This experience also made me realize even more not to let the environment limit one's ideas; even just sitting in a café holding a drink, as long as you stay in character, there will be unexpected tension. Although reviewing the photos afterwards revealed a few small details in makeup and clothing that could be adjusted, this set captured a special mood—an authentic sense of brief respite in a busy daily life that is hard to replicate in dedicated outdoor posing shoots. For the makeup this time, bold blue eyeliner was paired with bright blue colored contacts, and the eyeshadow blending was intentionally deepened to keep the eyes expressive even in dim lighting. The side bangs of the wig were also restyled to make the face shape look more delicate. Sending them to my friends later, everyone said this relaxed feel actually suits this collaboration setting very well, giving a delightful sense of serendipitously bumping into oneself on a street corner. In any case, braving the rain to head out wasn't in vain, making for a fun little interlude.
