Today we shot this Arknights La Pluma swimwear set by the sea; the winds were fierce, yet the ambient light proved exceptionally breathtaking. The tailoring of this Beach swimwear carries delightful nuances: a white ruffled crop top and tie-side bikini bottoms paired under an oversized pale blue light jacket, creating a crisp and refreshing silhouette. To preserve the operator's tactical utility aesthetic, I retained the blue diving goggles draped around my neck and the clear ID badge pouch, adding a pale blue strap along the left thigh so that character-defining touches remained visible even in resort wear. The yellow rubber duckling held in my hands was a spontaneous accessory idea conceived right before shooting; while chosen simply for its charm, resting against the cool-toned jacket produced an endearing pop of contrasting color that felt wonderfully animated before the lens.

Many friends ask how to cultivate this authentic Japanese style photography mood by the coast—the essence lies in honoring natural lighting and embracing bodily ease. Around four or five in the afternoon, the sun dips into a mellow warmth, avoiding harsh downward facial shadows typical of midday. During takes, I consciously allowed my posture to soften, shedding the rigid tension common to studio work. For example, while kneeling on the sand holding the toy duckling, I looked past the lens toward the distant ocean horizon in a half-daydreaming state, capturing an unforced, quiet languor. The photographer directed consistently from the side, guiding me to let coastal and wave contours guide the frame; shifting body weight onto the back leg while resting the front toes lightly on the ground visually lengthened leg lines across the profile.

Regarding cosmetics, I emphasized reddish eyeshadow sweeps under the lower lash lines. Rather than adopting an exaggerated anime aesthetic, I pursued a dewy, translucent base closer to casual Japanese editorial looks, paired with the textured short black wig and her signature cowlick (ahoge) atop the crown for a sweet, natural demeanor. The beach was fairly crowded, but by choosing intentional camera angles and opening the aperture for creamy depth-of-field, the distant city skyline melted into a picturesque backdrop without competing for visual focus. Pacing through the shoot was delightful; while ocean breezes ruffled my hair, those windblown flyaways lent an organic vitality far superior to heavily lacquered wigs.

Among the entire set, my favorite remains the kneeling portrait on the sand—not merely for the relaxed silhouette, but because the rhythm of incoming tides and the warmth of the sun felt deeply grounded. For an operator, shedding combat gear for swimwear represents an escape into blissful leisure; through these images, I aimed to convey that exact unhurried summer tranquility. Rinsing sand off my feet afterwards took some effort, but reviewing the final frames made every moment worthwhile. That wraps up this share—wishing everyone unforgettable frames of their own this summer.
