Cosplaying Professor Mornye from Wuthering Waves at the convention floor was an immensely satisfying journey.

Preparing this styling took significant dedication. The wig features a subtle gradient running from silver-white to pale cyan-blue; shaping and feathering the layers took multiple revisions, ensuring the blue dip-dye at the tips blended organically. The makeup demanded equal care: crimson lenses paired with soft reddish-pink contouring around the eye orbits conveyed a futuristic vibe without feeling overdone, completed with a subtle warm red lip to sustain a calm yet endearing aura.

The wardrobe detailing is exceptionally intricate: an outer wide-sleeved white coat layered over dark undergarments, accented at the chest by a circular golden emblem and a sleek black choker. A blue-purple ribbon fastened with metallic buckles cascades from the collar, and the white badge hanging by the waist was faithfully crafted. On the lower half, printed leggings adorned with abstract light blue and violet patterns complemented the White tights cosplay look, creating dynamic contrast against the white coat.

For props, the purple geometric weapon was a major visual centerpiece—constructed from layered angular plates. While the material itself wasn't overwhelmingly heavy, its substantial volume demanded noticeable stamina to wield on the convention floor. The hovering halo accessory atop the head presented another engineering challenge, requiring fine wire armatures woven beneath the wig wefts and continual angle tuning to appear floating naturally on camera.

Convention illumination is notoriously chaotic, but the photographer, Yike Xiesong, handled it with consummate professionalism as we scouted diverse vantage points and light sources across the hall. To capture weapon handling, outreached hands, and side-seated poses, we cycled through multiple takes. Calibrating just the right nuance in a gaze often required resetting my mental state. Though exhausting, reviewing the deliverables made every ounce of effort worthwhile.
