July has officially arrived with scorching sunlight and continuous good weather. This set of Mumu's (Muelsyse) Thunder in the Azure Dream cosplay look was also smoothly recorded, taking advantage of the rare clear light.

This outdoor location was mainly chosen in a lush city park. The sunlight on the day of shooting was exceptionally pure, and the quality of light and shadow filtering through the leaves was very beautiful, perfectly matching the character's setting, which is closely related to plants and nature. To complement this look, I carefully prepared some coordination details. First is that green plant leaf headpiece; whether it was the direction of the hair strands or the tilt angle of the leaves, multiple comparisons and fixations were made in advance to ensure it maintained its shape even in a windy outdoor environment. Regarding the costume, the outer light greyish-white wide-sleeved trench coat is paired with a dark inner layer, supplemented by yellow-green line embellishments. The overall color scheme perfectly matches the outdoor green grass and the stone steps by the pool. Without any special color grading, the atmospheric feel of the raw photos is already abundant.

My favorite prop from this shoot is the umbrella with its edges crafted into a serrated leaf shape. Shooting umbrella-like props outdoors is actually quite challenging; on one hand, it shouldn't block the light on the face, and on the other hand, it needs to become an extension of the frame's visual aspect. Fortunately, the sunlight angle that day was highly suitable. Standing on the walkway holding this leaf umbrella or sitting by the stone bridge with it as an accent allowed it to blend seamlessly into the scene. We also encountered a gentle breeze midway through the shoot. The moment the wind blew the hair strands and wide sleeves up was very natural; this kind of dynamic snapshot, compared to a deliberately arranged fixed pose, can instead better convey the character's light and agile traits.

In fact, this set is just the first blast of my July plan. I have set a rather big goal for myself this month, planning to shoot 11 sets of finished photos back-to-back. For me, who still needs to balance daily routine with other work, this volume is indeed a very tight schedule. However, since it's something I love, dedicating weekends and holidays to outdoor locations and studio shoots counts as a highly worthwhile consumption. From sorting out costumes and grooming wigs to the exclusive props needed for each look and scouting shoot locations, every single item requires a lot of energy and time to communicate and confirm in advance.

The high temperatures of July have always been a relatively big test for cosplayers, especially having to shoot under the big sun outdoors. After finishing this set of summer outdoor photo featuring Mumu, I feel that my state of mind is slowly getting on the right track. Next, there are still several different styles of settings waiting to be unlocked, some leaning towards daily wear and others with relatively complex and gorgeous styling. The style span of the shot photos is quite large, and I hope they can all showcase my understanding and dedication to this Arknights cosplay once the finished photos come out. The overall feel presented by this set of Muelsyse photos leans towards being refreshing and relaxed, without deliberately pursuing a particularly gorgeous set design, but instead trying to blend the character into the authentic summer scenery as much as possible.

After posting this set of photos, I have to go prepare the wig and accessories for the next set of finished photos. The July shooting plan has just kicked off, and I hope the weather keeps being this clear and the light stays this translucent in the coming days. Although the back-to-back shooting process can be a bit tiring, every time I see the light and shadow effects and styling textures presented in the camera, I feel that all previous preparations were completely worth it.

The above is my shooting reflection regarding this set of photos.
