For this Muryan cosplay Candy vine cosplay outfit from Fate/Grand Order, from makeup locking to the actual shoot, the most painstaking efforts were concentrated on head styling and hand props. The heart-shaped purple ahoge on top of the head is the soul of the entire character. To make this curve stand tall and natural, I intentionally padded wire and cotton inside the wig layers, setting it with hairspray three times. Trimming the bangs also underwent repeated adjustments—preserving the thickness of straight bangs while avoiding blocking line of sight, allowing vibrant energy to shine before the camera. For hair color selection, I used a soft purple gradient wig featuring a subtle matte texture, ensuring it wouldn't look overly cheap under light sources, but rather formed a clean and crisp color contrast with the yellow ribbon bow on the head.

For eye makeup, I specifically wore purple contact lenses matching the hair color, making the gaze appear closer to the character's original lively feel. Large-area highlight blending under the eyes overlaid with pearlescent glitter was the winning touch for the whole look under indoor light, effectively enhancing mid-face dimensionality. Lip makeup avoided overly intense colors, choosing a glossy light-toned watery lip tint instead, paired with a fair foundation and slightly flushed cheeks to convey a spirited, pure, and charmingly innocent temperament in this Dreamlike makeup and styling effort. As a connecting piece around the neck, I wore a brown collar with irregular edges, which nicely grounded the negative space around the neck, forming a grounded color layer against the light-colored outfit.

Regarding the outfit, the wide white pleated collar carries immense visual tension, requiring ironing and internal support to maintain stiff 3D shape, avoiding sagging during shooting. The yellow and light green paneled dress utilized a glossy fabric that reflected delicate sheen under indoor warm lighting. The translucent light green fairy wings behind were a powerful asset for amplifying atmosphere; to make photos appear lightweight, I crafted the wing frame with very fine steel wire combined with lightweight stiff tulle, maintaining silhouette while facilitating walking and posing.

The most fun part during shooting was that pair of heavy brown oversized gloves. Their fingertips are particularly bulky and blocky; this clumsy glove design brought unexpected cute charm during actual interactions, though requiring careful attention to hand positioning during shooting—such as extending hands to count numbers or letting them rest naturally across the chest, creating great interaction and narrative feel in frame. To match this attire, I chose indoor backlighting with side fill light, utilizing Venetian blinds to introduce soft diffuse light, enveloping the entire character in a dreamlike atmosphere. A slightly high-angle lens perspective better displayed the character's demeanor while highlighting shoulder, neck, and glove details. As this complete cosplay came together, practicing this styling truly required balancing costume, accessories, and demeanor, hoping to showcase Muryan's playful and vibrant nature in this Purple hairstyle and Candy vine cosplay portrayal.
