[Nanally cosplay] Meeting Everyone at the MY Creative Arts Festival on the 19th!

On the 19th, I served as the official cosplayer for Nanally from Neverness to Everness at the MY Creative Arts Festival. The experience throughout this event was exceptionally enriching; from early preparations to on-site interactions, every single phase offered valuable takeaways upon reflection.

To authentically capture the character's demeanor, substantial effort was invested into the wig and cosmetics beforehand. The wig demanded advance styling to trim clean layers, while the cat-ear headwear had to be calibrated to the most natural, dynamic angle. For makeup, the core focus centered on eye contouring, paired with colored contact lenses to ensure the gaze mirrored the character faithfully. The weather was rather sweltering on the day, and spending the entire day outdoors in this multi-tiered ensemble proved quite a test. Layering the tailored black coat over the pink pleated skirt, along with accessories like the necktie and gloves, yielded tremendous visual impact once fully donned, though it undeniably restricted mobility. As a cosplayer, one must balance external accuracy with unwavering posture and disciplined facial expressions—a rigorous trial of physical stamina.

The booth was situated in the guest autograph zone, with tables neatly arranged with commemorative postcards and signing pens. The defining highlight of the event was interacting directly with attendees. Many fellow fans who adore this character came over to chat and brought postcards to be signed. By the time every single postcard was signed, my hand was certainly aching, yet my heart was filled with a deep, grounded sense of validation. A life-sized character standee was positioned right beside the booth, so during brief breathers I darted over to snap photos with it. Striking the exact same pose and comparing the dimensional contrast between 2D and reality was thoroughly enjoyable.

Beyond sitting at the autograph desk, I carved out time to explore outdoor areas for casual photography. The open plaza was decorated with bright yellow ceremonial arches and vibrant bunting, providing wonderfully saturated backdrops. Posing alongside various display boards, numerous photographers and convention-goers snapped shots in quick succession. Whenever crossing paths with fellow cosplayers, everyone warmly helped each other straighten garments and handed out water—the camaraderie was truly wonderful. Group photos brought diverse stylistic aesthetics together in vivid chromatic harmony.

The entire event ran from morning well into the afternoon; though physically exhausted, my spirits remained thoroughly energized throughout. Witnessing everyone gather out of shared passion, patiently queuing up to converse and connect, is an inherently meaningful experience. Presenting one's absolute best state both before the camera and in person demands countless hours of daily practice and preparation. Through this festival, I also gained valuable practical insights into managing costume comfort and refining interactive conversational flow. I genuinely look forward to future opportunities to meet everyone offline with more thoughtfully prepared characters.
