This set of Nahida-themed maid outfit shot this time adopts a large amount of white and green color scheme elements in its design. The white ruffled headpiece paired with the silvery-white gradient low ponytail wig, along with the elf ears, are highly recognizable parts of the character. The fabric of the costume was selected with a certain sheen, which presents a good texture under the studio lights when paired with the gold piping and the green gem decoration on the chest. The design on the chest also incorporates elements similar to the Dendro element symbol, making the overall style fit well with the café server theme.
In terms of props, a black round tray and a small dessert model were prepared. The pose of holding the tray with both hands facing forward in Figure 2 is meant to create an atmosphere of serving tea and snacks. The matte black of the tray forms a relatively distinct contrast with the light color scheme of the outfit, allowing the visual focus to be more concentrated. The choice of gloves also tries to match the overall color tone of the costume; the white short gloves don't steal the spotlight but add a complete sense of the character.
The lighting treatment on the day of the shoot was very important. Instead of using strong hard light, soft light illumination was chosen. This not only ensured that the figure's skin tone was fair and translucent but also avoided leaving overly deep shadows on the background. The mint green background paper and the color of the costume both belong to cool tones, making the color transition of the image quite clean. The single-leg standing action in Figure 1 actually required some balancing skills; it was quite physically demanding during the shoot to keep the tray stable. The skirt-lifting action in Figure 3 beautifully displays the fluffiness of the dress's multi-layered tailoring.
In the process of recreating the character, expression is a place that needs special attention. Nahida is a character with extremely high wisdom and a gentle personality in Genshin Impact, so the expressions cannot be too exaggerated or pretentious, but rather maintain a sense of tranquility and gentleness. The eye makeup used a rather pink blush and light green contact lenses, paired with soft eyeliner, to maintain a watery feeling in front of the lens.
For this cosplay photography session, I also conceived several movements in advance. In addition to the front-facing and skirt-lifting compositions, there is also a pose of turning slightly sideways while lifting the tray, hoping to showcase the clothing details and character temperament from different angles. During post-processing, I mainly adjusted the white balance and skin tone details, preserving the original colors of the costume without using complex special effects. That's about all for the preparations and insights, and the photos successfully recorded the moments of the setting.
