Indoor home shooting often grants characters a greater sense of relaxation, and this time we chose to complete this piece using indoor natural light filtering through the Venetian blinds. Dispensing with complex lighting setups, relying solely on a white window frame and soft light presents a fresh, natural visual tone. Before shooting, my partner and I actually discussed whether to create a more elaborate set, but we ultimately decided on a clean environment with large solid color blocks to set off ourselves, which instead focuses attention on wig textures and overall atmospheric mood.

Next, speaking of styling details. The light mint-colored wig on my head actually took some effort regarding sideburns and bangs. To match the overall slightly languid style, we deliberately retained some fluffiness and layering during trimming. Rather than wearing heavy hats or hair accessories, we simply paired an Animal ear wig setup with a plush-textured set of cat ears. For the cat ears, we specifically avoided common pure white, selecting a light pink flocking material for the interior that pairs more gently with the pale green hair color. For eye makeup, I picked reddish-brown earth tones with pearlescent shimmer accenting inner corners and under aegyo sal, giving eyes a clear, translucent feel in natural light rather than heavy stage makeup.

My friend on the right adopted a black-and-yellow gradient hairstyle paired with yellow animal ears featuring black stripes, conveying a very lively, energetic vibe overall. Both of us reached high consensus on outfits, opting out of flashy battle armor loaded with complex structures or metallic hardware, instead picking two light green T-shirts of different shades paired with relatively loose sweatpants and casual trousers. I believe this relaxed sense of Casual cosplay is also a form of expression—it doesn't require characters standing under spotlights in heavy costumes, but tells us that even on a weekend afternoon, wearing the most comfortable clothes still preserves the character's state.

The shooting process went very smoothly; being at home kept everyone's mood very relaxed. We sat directly on the rug, allowing our bodies to stretch naturally. I was in charge of holding up the phone to find angles. Although somewhat limited by wide-angle perspective distortion, slightly adjusting distortion in post-processing preserved the authentic feel of an arm selfie, making dynamic posts feel closer to an Indoor catgirl daily share from a friend's perspective. During the shoot, I paid careful attention to subtle natural facial expressions, taking a Natural light selfie while keeping micro-expressions natural without smiling excessively to warp facial features, aiming to capture effortless natural beauty.

For retouching, I kept filter usage restrained without excessive skin smoothing, preserving skin texture itself while lightly adjusting skin tone uniformity. The grid of Venetian blinds and beige walls in the background formed great geometric division in the composition, echoing the white window frame. Rug textures were left unblurred as well, retaining the cozy living atmosphere an indoor setting should have.

Many people often mistakenly assume cosplay requires fully perfected outdoor locations or studio setups. However, snapshot-style home shoots like this actually demand higher precision in wig-trimming details. With zero strong background distractions, any stray hair strand out of place becomes glaringly obvious. We spent roughly half an hour adjusting bangs and side hair direction to ensure the wig covered hairline and hairnet seamlessly once cat ears were attached.

I've always felt that down-to-earth character restoration is a tricky balance to strike—wearing clothes that are too ordinary might weaken the character's iconic identity, while full dramatic costumes easily create distance. So this time we attempted wearing key components—namely our respective animal ears and signature wigs—while keeping casual relaxed T-shirts and trousers. This maintains character recognition while staying grounded in everyday life. The casual nature in these photos is perhaps the truest reflection of how many community friends look during private gatherings.
