This set of Tingyun cosplay Convention photos was shot by photographer @Natsuki Fried Chicken ovo. As the model myself, today I'd like to share specific details of this look on site and some honest feelings during the Cosplay photography session.

For the hairstyle and animal ears, I chose a pair of large ears featuring white inner fluff and dark blackish-brown outer fur, fixed securely to the sides of my head with great structural support. The wig body is dark brown, with a distinct reddish-brown gradient towards the ends that refracts vividly in both natural and studio light. The bangs are styled quite long, subtly veiling the eyes to evoke the lazy, enchanting allure unique to a Fox girl. For hair ornaments, a few golden leaf-shaped accessories and a white fluffy pom-pom were added, acting as bright accents amidst the dark hair strands.

Costume materials and paneling structure were also aspects I prioritized. The primary tone is a deep, composed dark brownish-black, with wide red borders and fine gold thread outlining the lapel and collar. The chest area features a signature cord knot metal buckle crafted into a highly 3D bow shape, staying true to character motifs. The most eye-catching part is the wide sleeve design: while the main body uses dark fabric, translucent pinkish-white chiffon is paneled around the sleeves and arms, offering a delicate, petal-like lightness.

While shooting, I held a folding fan painted in red and black with gold linework. The bottom of the fan features red tassels and small golden bells, with additional tassels draping from the wrist. To complete the look, I selected vivid red long nail tips that echoed the fan's color palette. Beyond hair accessories, I prepared a golden leaf-shaped hairpin, which I held between my lips for a close-up in the third image. This prop interaction centered the composition on my gaze and facial details, beautifully reflecting the green contacts and reddish-brown eyeshadow saturation and texture under dim light.

This look also featured representative lower-body elements. Seated on a white circular plush rug on the floor, paired with white semi-sheer stockings and light beige high heels, my leg lines were visually elongated. The massive white tail with pink tips stacked beside me possessed immense volume, creating a striking color contrast against the venue's dark flooring and the white rug.

The shooting environment was an indoor convention floor featuring blackish-gray reflective flooring, rendering the overall image soft while accentuating main subject details. Venue lighting at conventions is notoriously complex, but thankfully focus and contrast ratios were handled with composure; dark ambient tones muted the cluttered background, allowing the dark reddish-brown gradient wig ends and white ear fluff a relatively clean visual space.

Wearing such a heavy, multi-piece cosplay in a crowded convention setting—from fitting the wig and ears initially to adjusting costume fit on-site—offered an experience completely distinct from studio shoots. However, seeing the final pictures capture everything from folding fan details to full-body shots with the massive tail made it all worthwhile, faithfully restoring the spirit and essence of the character in my heart.
