This outfit coordination for Reisen was in the works for quite a while. The core concept was to preserve the original traits of the Touhou Project character while infusing contemporary designs with punk and dark undertones. For the top, I chose a white long-sleeved shirt detailed with delicate pleated folds along the collar and chest, layered beneath a black cropped jacket. The silver studs and white piping along the jacket edges pop with tactile definition under the light, while the folded cuffs revealing red lining break any visual monotony. A black leather corset belt cinches the waist, accented with draped silver pearl-accent chains to add visual depth.

The bottom half features a red-and-black checkered pleated mini skirt edged with black lace, layered over with leather harness straps adorned with metal studs and O-rings. The most elaborate detail lies in the asymmetrical Over-the-knee stockings. The right leg sports bold red-and-black wide stripes, while the left is solid black, accessorized with garter straps and metallic buckles. Attached to the buckle on the black stocking is a purple bunny plush charm, nodding playfully to the character's motif. Paired with chunky brown retro platform leather shoes, the overall color scheme achieves both cohesive harmony and punchy contrast.

For hair and makeup, the pale lilac wig was cut with blunt bangs, requiring careful grooming for a silky-smooth finish. The plush bunny ears atop the head are the focal highlight—crafted from long white plush fur with pink inner lining, mounted on a headband wrapped in black ribbon to integrate seamlessly with the hair styling. Securing the ears took some technique: because the plush material is somewhat weighty, non-slip pads were added inside the headband, finished with a circular rhinestone hair clip at the bangs to balance fine detail with structural stability.

The shooting took place before a mirror. Mirror reflections provided ideal conditions for displaying the textures—such as the metallic chains on the jacket, the leather corset at the waist, and the garter straps on the legs—all of which gained striking three-dimensional pop under the combined lighting of the mirror and overhead lamps. In the first shot, wearing the jacket projected a military-punk aesthetic; in the second, taking it off and holding it in hand made the pairing of the white blouse and plaid skirt look much lighter and breezier. Leaning my center of gravity slightly forward with one leg bent elongated the leg lines. Holding a black phone before my face also directed the viewer's focus squarely onto the outfit and overall styling.

Utilizing handheld props was another key aspect of the shoot. Holding a black item resting beside my hip gave the hands an organic point of rest to avoid stiffness while infusing narrative intrigue into the frame. Although this coordinate looks intricate, wearing it never felt constricting—once the belt tension is dialed in, there is plenty of room to move. Because the asymmetrical stockings draw intense visual attention, preventing the garter straps from slipping while walking or posing was essential, requiring discreet safety pins for reinforcement.

This collision of vintage and punk styles delivers high visual distinction. From brushing the wig to positioning every single leather strap, having every nuance planned out ensures your best self emerges before the lens. Coordinating this style requires no excessive jewelry; the black necktie and waist chains already offer abundant detail, keeping the spotlight where it belongs—on tailoring and clean silhouettes. Once everything was strapped in and the bunny ears angled just right, the click of the shutter locked the entire look into place.
